Should I start a new chart or what?

OK, ladies, you all probably heard my whole story yesterday, so I'm not going to tell it all again. Long story short - this is my 4th day bleeding, it's got to be AF, and my temps still haven't dropped below CL! So, what do I do - should I just go ahead and start a new chart, counting Day 1 as Saturday when AF started and just ignore the fact that my temp never dropped? Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

OR has anyone ever had "implantation bleeding" that lasted THIS long? I guess I'm going to test tomorrow just out of pure obsessive curiosity because of my temps (and b/c I got 3 free PG tests in the mail yesterday!) Anyone who wants to offer advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!

Hey ADC,

I would go ahead and start a new chart. Since you have had 4 days of af. Maybe your thermometer is broken or something? This morning I went to take mine, and it stopped beeping after only a few seconds, so I looked at it and it was 98.2. Which is very high for me right now,(at cd3, average is 97.3), so I turned it off, turned it on again, and the battery light came on and it was dead. I replace the battery,(which is no small feat at 5:00 in morning bleary-eyed and not awake), and it went back to a normal temp. So maybe it is the thermometer. Go ahead and take an HPT since you do have some free ones. How are you feeling? Pretty normal for Af? It is good we can tell alot by our temps, but it sounds like a normal Af to me, and sometimes our bodies just tell us things, so good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Hi Stacy,

I don't think my thermometer's broken, since I've only had it 1 month, but I suppose it could be...how long do the batteries in those things usually last? I hope I won't have to change it every month! Anyway, I think this is AF, and maybe my pre-O temps are just naturally high (and therefore won't drop below CL - does this make sense?). Who knows? Maybe I'll see a pattern this next cycle to help me understand my body better.

I've actually been feeling pretty good thru AF - no cramps like usual or sore BB's like I've been getting since I've been off BCP's, which is strange, but I'm not going to complain about the lack of AF symptoms! Anyway, thanks for your reply, and as long as I don't get a BFP tomorrow (yeah, right!), I'll start a new chart and look forward to BD-ing at the beach (family vacation, so we actually probably won't get to much) this next cycle! Thanks again!

ADC-

Your temps DID drop, so I think AF is here. My temp stayed above cover line until AF was over. Go ahead and test, but do you really want to waste one? Even if they are free?

Anyway.. GL to you.

ADC,

I went through the same thing, check out my chart:

http://circles2.fertilityfriend.com/home/2720d

And I tested on the first day of spotting (10 dpo) and got a faint second pink line. I'm waiting until tomorrow, 21 dpo, to test again and hopefully get a really dark line this time.

I hope your temps stay up. When are you normally due for af?? If you are past your normal start date then I would test. Also, this may be tmi, but how is the bleeding? Is it clumpy, like you are shedding the uterine lining? Mine was just bright red blood.

Sending +++++++++++++vibes your way!

I hope you get a bfp!

Hi SL,

Yes, I know my temp did drop today, but I was still confused because all the charts I've seen (on this board and FF) have dropped to at least at or below CL when AF comes, so I thought this was strange. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone - it's good to know that even if my temps stay above CL until the end of AF, I'm not the only one! Thanks for sharing your experience with me!

Rachel,

Thanks for sharing your experience! I can only hope to be as lucky as you, but I really think my temps are probably just a fluke. I would have normally been due for AF today, so I guess if I were to try a test tomorrow, it should be accurate (accurate enough to give me a BFN anyway! :)

Something you said did make me wonder, though...I was having a hard time knowing how to describe it, but AF has been different this time around, and "brighter" was the word I've been looking for. (TMI coming) It has been a much brighter red than I've ever noticed before, so we'll see. Thanks for the reply and + vibes! I'll keep you all posted on my crazy cycle!
