Temps & The Big "O" ???

I just starting temping a few days ago, so I am not quite sure how I am supposed to interpret all of these temps that I am getting...

From what I understand, I am o-ing when I get a drastic low temp? Is this accurate?

And if I were to be pregnant, what would my temps do after O-ing as compared to what they are normalling supposed to do after O-ing?

Sorry if these questions are repetitive from other posts, I am new here and would love any comments from y'all!

Hi Jami! Yay for taking on temping so soon- that's great!! Are you entering them into FertilityFriend.com or Babymed.com (two free websites) so that we can help you read your chart? Another question are you checking your cp (cervical position) and cm (cervical mucous) too...those are even more important in helping determine o than temps, but it's the combination of the three that will really help you see your cycle and what it is doing. Temps before o typically range from 96.5 to 97.5 and then dip (not always right at o...some women may get the dip before the egg releases, some after...that's why it is so important that you keep BD through it all- to make sure you increase your chances of catching that eggie!) when o is coming..like I said could come before or after...and then they'll rise up higher than your pre-o temps. Some women get an immediate temp rise, some take a few days to get up there (mine take about three days) and then you'll see what your coverline temp is. It's that cl temp that you're most interested in as if you see your temps stay above that temp for 14 to 18 days or longer, usually indicates that you are pg. Now after you've found your cl temp your temps usually will continue to rise, you might get (not all women do) an implantation dip (usually a dip in the temp but does not usually go under cl temp) or it may go what they call tri-phasic...meaning like a third step in temps, above cl, then a climb, then another climb. A tri-phasic chart does not mean you are pg..many women get them when they are not pg, so it's best to know that the temp stays above cl for 18 days or longer and, of course, af has still not arrived. Hope this helps and GL!!!!!! Huge ((((((hugs))))))) LOLove, Connie

P.S. Here are some great cp and cm websites, if you're interested...
