Late Ovulation or No Ovulation?

Hi Ladies,

I'm quite unhappy today...

I'm on CD29 and so far no sign of ovulation yet.

I did 13 OPK tests so far (5 First Response, 8 Acon). I got 12 days of very faint lines and 1 day of dark line though not darker than the control line (here's the picture of the darker one: http://www.marcinha.co.uk/images/OPK07-16.JPG ).

I had one day of EWCM but no thermal shift at all. My CM has been completely dry for four days now.

I'm so afraid I'm not ovulating... I heard that some anovulatory cycles normally have erratic temps which is not exactly my case. My average temperature is 36.30ºC (97ºF) with some few low temps (taken too early in the morning).

Here's my FF Chart:

Ovusoft Chart indicates my EWCM day as the possible ovulation day, just in case, but it warned me that I needed a thermal shift to confirm that.

Here's my Ovusoft Chart:

I went off the pill in May/2003 (after 2 years) and my first cycle was 44 days (unfortunately, i only started charting this month). So I'm praying that I'm just having another long cycle and not an anovulatory one. As the time goes by, I'm getting more and more worried...

If you have any input, opinions, happy stories or hugs to help me, I'll be very grateful.

Thank you all and best of luck for us!

love,

Marcia

Hi

Unfortunately it does not appear that you ovulated...yet. My first 3 cycles off the pill I had several patches of EWCM without ovulation in every cycle. I was having long, irregular cycles too. On the advice of my midwife, I started taking Dong Quai for the first half of my cycle and taking B6 after ovulation. Also drinking a quart of RRL tea every day. This cycle I O'd on day 15 and had a 29 day cycle-good luck, and what you are experiencing is normal, although completely frustrating.

Hi Kim,

Thank you for your reply.

I think my body is still taking its time to adjust to this new situation without the pill. It's so frustrating not to notice any sign of ovulation...

I'm taking some pregnancy vitamins for 3 months now. I'm keeping my hopes up, I don't want to give up until to be sure I'm not ovulating.

I don't know if i already need to seek medical advice...

Thank you for your support.

((((((((HUGS)))))))))))to you Marcia. I'm sorry to agree with above, it looks anovulatory to me. When temping in celcius the temp spikes don't appear as great as when temping in farenheit....they are kinda all over. If you've just gone off BCP, this is a common occurance. It sometimes takes a few cycles to get back into the swing of things. Your Dr probably won't want to do anything just yet since it's still early, but keep charting so you have something to bring to him/her when the time comes.

I'm making a neon sign for the "o" fairy to find you!

Hi Tara,

Thank you for your support.

I didn't know that charts in Celsius were different, i converted it and the chart in Farenheit really looks like rocky mountains. :(

I hope my cycles get on track as soon as possible because it's been so difficult to cope... I'm on CD30 today and while many people would be testing for pregnancy, I'm still testing for ovulation... :(

I hope the O Fairy notice the neon sign, Tara!

Thank you again and good luck for you.
