Anovulatory??

What is anovulatory? How do I know if I am ovulating? I read somewhere that women with long and irregular cycles, sometimes do not ovulate, do you know if this is true? My cycles are 42+ days. If my cervical mucus changes, then does that mean for sure that I ovualted? I am charting BBT, but my temps are all over the place.

Help!

Hi, Suzie! I don't know how much you're going to like my answer, but here it goes... the best way to tell if you are ovulating or anovulatory is by charting BBT. If there is no definite pre "O" and post"O" temp shift you are probably not "o"ing. One of the indications of anovulatory charts are the "all over the place" temps with no real pattern. The fact that you have that and the long cycles is a good indication that you probably aren't ovulating. You can still have CM changes...in fact you will probably have several instances of EWCM. Being anovulatory is an easy thing to fix, so please don't lose heart. Check in with our Sisters of Irregularity- they'll tell you! Perhaps you should see the Dr ans tell him/her of your concerns.

GL to you! ((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))

Hi,anovulatoty is when you have af but dont ovulate a lot of woman don't o every month to help you figure out when you o when you have irregular cycles sutract 17 from your shortest cycle and 11 from your longest cycle the days in between the two are when you are most likely to be fertile you can also keep track of your cm it should be clear like egg white around o time and if you chart bbt make sure you take your temp before getting out of bed temps rise the more you move around and try to take them at the same time everyday I hope this helps you out good luck

It's kinda hard to tell with your chart since you're missing so many temps. *IF* you did "o" I would say that cd20 looks promising....if there were more early temps it would be easier to tell if there was a shift from that time on.

Keep *patience* and see what happens!

Thanks!

I have a tendency to overreact to things! One other thing I forgot to mention, is that I had some mittelschmirtz last week, would that be a symptom for ovulating? A positive one? Also last week I had VERY sore nipples. I don't know if that means much, I guess I just want to make sure I am ovulating!!!

Yes, this is a good sign of "O"- both the pain and the sore nipples.

Keep up the charting and see what happens!
