Pg, m/c, children mentioned.. as well as an introduction for those of you who don't know me..
I've been trying to "deal with things" by avoiding them. Bad choice. It doesn't help. SO..
I promise to be a supporting friend on this board.
For those of you who don't know me.. I've been on this board for two years.. and ttc for much longer than that. No success until last year.. In May I had a probable chemical pregnancy.. and on Sept 29th, I had a m/c that was later confirmed as being one day shy of 9 weeks. (I'd had an "af".. and varying results on hpt's, etc)
I do have 3 children. I was 16 when I had my first child.. and proceeded to have a total of 3 children in 3 1/2 years... The youngest is 11 yrs old.
I also have a 2 yr old Bichon (Toby.. he thinks he's "mommy's baby".. lol!)
I also interpret for the D/deaf in our church.. and have D/deaf friends. I am currently teaching sign classes.. and do Seminars several times a year for D/deaf awareness.
My Dh is very hard of hearing.. and my younest started having hearing problems after she'd had continual ear infections as a toddler. Her hearing seemed to improve for several years.. but has been declining for the last few. It's now so bad that she has requested to learn sign language as a means of communication. (this request was may yesterday)... I guess there really is "a reason for everything"... .
We went through fertility testing in 1996.. but nothing was found to be wrong. "Unexplained Infertility" was the diagnosis..
I have EXCRUTIATING PAIN when I O.. sometimes to the point that I feel extremely nauseous (totally on the verge of throwing up).. and/or near passing out. ("tunnel vision" and "tunnel hearing" that happens just before you pass out is not uncommon at these times)
Pain meds only work IF I take them before I O.. with enough time for it to be already working when O happens.. which doesn't happen often.
I've been charting since 96 when I was told to do so at the time to see where I was at in my cycles when the pain was happening (went in because I didn't know what the pain was).
Charting and tests showed that I do have the pain when I O (very rarely does it happen before or after actual O). It was also discovered that when my eggs are ripening.. there's also a large amount of fluid produced with each egg.. and when the egg is released, my body can't absorb the fluid as fast as it would if there was only a small amount (like most people have) released. It's also been confirmed that my body releases multiple eggs several times a year. (there are twins on my mom's and dad's sides)
I also love to bake wedding cakes (professionally) AND sew.
My real love, though.. is my Doula work. (birth assistant)
Feel free to ask any questions on any of the things I love to do.. If I don't know the answer.. I'll find it. =)
Sorry this was so long. If you actually read this far.. Thank you and GOOD LUCK to you where ever you're at in your cycle!!
=)

Where do you find the time to do everything??? This is completely off topic (and I wouldn't ask you to share your recipes), but do you recommend any cookbooks are websites that have really good cake recipes that are fairly simple. I love to bake (and have just started to decorate cakes - within the last couple of months), but I also like to keep things simple (I have a 18 month DD so time is limited).
Sorry to bombard you with things not related to TTC.
Best of luck - I hope you get your BFP soon!
Jen
Love,

(I don't mind the questions, honest!)..
http://www.tasteofhome.com and you can go from that site to their Quick Cooking as well..
Those are my two most favorite!
If you have any more ??'s.. just ask. I don't mind at all.

I read your post down below and was going to post there.. but hope you don't mind my posting here instead..
I'm going to agree with you!.. C11 IS your cycle! You'll get that BFP this time! I just know it!
HUGS,
Jen
I'm glad that you're delurking because you sound like a great person and I'm sure you'll add tons to the board. But please don't feel like you have to apologize for lurking in the first place. It's perfectly OK. We're all going through different things, and sometimes lurking is the best option in a particular situation. You can get really sucked into the board, and that's not necessarily healthy for everyone.
Anyway, I just want to say welcome back, and I'm sorry about your cycles and the situation with your dd. I hope everything turns out well for you.
Oh, and I love to bake, but I'm horrible at decorating. I may just take you up on your offer of advice about wedding cakes!

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm sorry this has been such a tough road for you. It sounds like you're very grateful for the children you have, but that longing for another is strong too. I hope that all of your dreams come true and that you are able to conceive and give birth to a beautiful DS or DD (or twins!)
It's good to hear from you. Take care,
Katie

Ugh- sounds like o'ing really stinks for you- I'm so sorry to hear that. I have a huge question for you... o'ing doesn't really hurt for me, I guess, but post o I get this horrible pain in my groin area way low above my pelvic bone on the left side that causes shooting pain down my left leg too. The dr's keep thinking this pain is from the FM, but gosh it gets so much worse after o and then seems to lighten up again during af. Does that sound weird or what? I'm going in to dr again on Aug 4th- not ob but family dr for FM follow-up and I'm going to talk with him about it. Sometimes I wonder if I don't have some kind of artery/vein blockage going into my left ovary or something like that. Of course the only tests I've had done for this pain were back in January when midwife thought I might have ectopic pg and it was just an internal u/s. The tech did check both ovaries to see if they might be twisted and if the blood flow seemed okay- she said it did and since I have no uturine pain ...like I said they (midwife, ob I saw post ectopic check for possible endo and pcos, and my family dr) keep saying it's FM related, but why would it vary so much between the different points of my cycle? LOL- I don't know if you might know something about this or not, but thought you might...just laugh at me for rambling on so!!
Hang in there and I really truly hope and pray that you'll get your bfp soon! LOLove, Connie
As far as I know.. the only the most drs will do is say that you can use heat on it (doesn't help much, if at all).. or use whatever you use for the FM pain.. then again.. some of those don't work for all FM pains.. etc. Dunno.. Now *I'm* rambling.. LOL!!.. ;-)
dunno.
Just wanted to say.. you're not alone on that pain.. but.. don't know if it's FM related or not. (my mom doesn't think so)..
JUST MY *TOTALLY PERSONAL* OPINION:: I think it probably has something to do with the corpus luteal cysts that form each month.. some are larger than others.. the maybe those larger ones are what cause this pain??? (my thoughts, anyways.. mainly because it seems to me that I have those pains really bad after the worst of the O pains.. (like early this morning.. *sigh*).. and not as bad on the ones where the pain doesn't make me see stars.. Just my opinion for what it's worth.)
GL.
