Hi ladies:

I now have a question about ovulation pain. The last two days, i had some sharp, short pain in my left side. I've notice this pain several times in the past, but never thought much about it. Is this what O pain feels like?

i really have no idea when i ovulated. i really blew it with my OPKs, and tested every other day, so i could have missed my surge. I think i have the tendency to O later in my cycle, as my last cycle was 30 days. But, DH and i BD'ed on CD 10, 13, and 17. Hopefully again today (CD 19--i think). According to the preg calandar, today would be our conception date on a 30 day cycle. Anyway, any thoughts on the O pain?

GE! I definitely think you're probably right in assuming it's ovulation pain. cl-Tara went in for her follicle u/s on Monday and was told she had already ovulated Saturday night/Sunday and she has just this past day or so had o pains, so just an eye opener that perhaps you've o'd earlier than your o pain might be suggesting (a bd on cd17 then would be absolutely perfect timing ;) - lol!) GL and MEEGA huge ++++++++++++ PV's coming your way! (((hugs))) LOLove, Connie

Thanks for the encouragement, Connie. i'll hope for the best. Good luck to you, too! By the way, what is a follicle u/s?

Sorry, it's just a vaginal u/s in where the RE (reproductive endocrinologist- sorry if I way misspelled that- lol!) monitors how the egg follicles are developing/maturing on your ovaries as you're approaching ovulation. I've never had it done, but several women (including Tara) have had it done. It's just to make sure that ovulation is indeed occurring. In Tara's case she found out that she o'd before her o pain started, which I found interesting- maybe our o pains come after we've o'd too..unless we have this follicle u/s monitoring done by a specialist we wouldn't know for sure- hee, hee! GL- I hope you've o'd already and I'm sure your pain will go away soon.
