I've never really followed my body signs or TTC so I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is normal or not. So I'll let you really smart ladies tell me me what you think.

My 5th child was born Feb. 8 2003; we are exclusively breastfeeding; he started sleeping thru the night at around 6 weeks; I occasionally feed him (maybe twice a week) around 4am; I demand nurse, but he's not very demanding and only nurses about every 3 to 4 hours.

About 3 months ago I noticed that I seemed to be having a cycle without bleeding. My breast were slightly tender and I would have a really mucous filled day (lots of egg white looking stuff on the toilet paper). The thought has crossed my mind that I could be ovulating but I'm not really sure if these symptoms are a sign of that. I have EBF all of my children and have not had AF until minimum of 2 months after they weaned with the exception of #4 who I extended nursed and had AF at exactly 12 months and 13 months with him and then got pregnant.

So....this past Mon. was my "mucous day" and then last night DH and I had relations. We use condoms on a pretty strict basis but for some reason, last night DH just never got around to that and since I wouldn't mind another baby, I didn't say anything.

What do you think?? Could Mon. have been ovulation? If it was, what is the likelyhood of getting pregnant 2 days later? Ask any questions if I've left anything out. And thanks for any input.

Hi,

I think it is quite possible. Since that is fertile-quality mucus. I got my AF a month after I gave birth and had it regular after that. What a clan you have you lucky lady!! Anyways, good luck to you. Hope it turns out the way you want!!

It could be... I know several women who have gotten pg while EBF.

Thank you both for responding.

I am very anxious about this - having 3 in 3 years plus my other 3 will be a lot of work, but oh so worth it. I guess I'll just stick around here for a few days and wait to test sometime next week-end.

Thanks again Katy
