Long Cycle, FAINT Lines, getting FAINTER

Today is CD50 (yes, 50) Which means AF is about 9 days late. I have taken several HPTs in the past week (I'm obsessive) 3 Clearblue Easy Early, 1 OneStep Be Sure, 2 Fact Plus and 2 Answer. I got very faint lines on almost all of the tests, except for 1 Answer that I took on Wednesday in the late afternoon - that was a bona fide line, though still light. BUT, this morning, I was sure to get a BFP - I took two tests with FMU a Clearblue and an Answer - both lines were soooo faint that I'm afraid I might have been imagining them. AARRRGGH!! What is going on? What should I do? I have had some pg signs the past few weeks, sore bbs, waves of nausea, strange pains that are kind of like cramps, but definately different.
Has anyone else had this kind of strange activity? Long cycles? Faint lines on HPTs that get FAINTER?
BTW, I'm 32 years old.
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light. This message board has been a source of comfort and information for me.

TTC #1, C4, CD50

First off, sorry to hear about your m/c in May, how terrible for you and hubby. I can't imagine after waiting that long to finally be pg and having that to deal with.
My name is Julie (29), DH (30) married since 11-2-02 live in MI and actively ttc#1 so far this cycle. I just bought the Clearblue Fertility Monitor myself. I have had irregular cycles myself since getting off the bcp back in March this year after being on them for 11 yrs. My cycles when I first got off were about every 30-34 days and now they seemed to have settled at 32-34 days, right now I am on cd 6, my last period was July 19th and I started AF on Aug. 22nd so it was about 34 days in between and I NEVER thought I was going to start although the week prior I had every single symptom of PMS possible so if I didn't start it would of been weird, but like you after being what I considered a few days late, I also did a pg test and negative of course.
I have a question for you, since you have the monitor and you said you tried using it first cycle, it never showed high fertility days on it??? Wow, it says if your cycle is over 42 days you shouldn't use it for that reason I guess. I am nervous with this monitor due to the fact it asks to start testing on cd 6 (for me is today) and I guess it continues to ask for a test everyday for 10 days if I understand right?? If I am a 34 days cycle my most likely ovulation day would be cd 21 on a 34 day cycle so if this is true, I'd think I'd miss my ovulation days cuz the monitor will stop asking for tests I'd assume on Aug. 6th (that is 10 days from the first day it asked me to test) but the following week of Aug. 7th - 12 would be my most likely fertile days (unless I ovulate earlier than 21 days) I don't get it I guess. I have not tried the other ovulation kits as I do not feel like messing around with lines to compare etc., etc. Gosh, I thought 34 days was long in between cycles, you poor thing. Had you come off the bcp recently or ever been on them? Have your cycles always been this long? Have you talked to your doc about going on the fertility drug Clomid since you've been ttc for 4 months? That drug will be my route if I do not ovulate this month (I do not think I ovulated on my last period in July and we bd the week before I thought I ov'lated and the week after and nothing, not pg thats for sure) so my doc said it is possible that I'm having periods and just not ovulating, that could be your problems too. Have you had your thryoid and /or horomones checked this year since trying? I had all mine checked last week and they all came back totally normal so Clomid might be the only thing to make me ovulate if I don't this month, we'll see, I have about 2 more weeks to find out by testing with this monitor.
Sorry so long, hope some of the info helps and let me know if you've had any testing done etc.
Take care and talk to you soon.
Julie
