Hope every one is well. I told a little bit about myself in the check in from yesterday, however it was later in the day and some you may have missed it. I've talked with Anne and asked her about including a devotional for us ( don't know that I can commit to everyday, but will share one as often as I can.) The book I will be using is " 15 Minute Devotions for Couples" by Bob and Emilie Barnes. Here is the introduction to the book and I will include a follow-up post with our 1st devotional.
" This book is dedicated to all the couples who commit their 15-minute blocks of time each day to read these thought. Over the years we have come to realize that our bonding and mutual love for each other have grown when we do things together. You will find that this daily block of time will give you a better feeling of direction and joint commitment to your life purposes.
If time permits, do the "Taking Action" section together. Discuss the questions and delve into your mate's innermost thoughts about these activites. This block of time will help satisfy your common concern, "We never talk about anything!" These activities will help you bridge the communication gap if you have one. Through these devotions you will begin to see God doing a marvelous work in your lives. Each of your hearts will be opened to the other, and you will become more transparent in your lives.
You will begin talking about things you never thought possible. These discussions will have heavenly purpose and will open the door of your heart to let the Holy Spirit talk to both of you in new ways.
Even if you aren't a couple, but a single person, a single parent, or a single grandparent, you will find great challenges and insights in these devotionals.
May the Lord bless you as you read these devotionals".
Alright Sisters, that is the introduction. Look for another post shortly to see our 1st devotional. Hope everyone enjoys !!

The Stability of Your Life
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 33:1-12
Key Verse: Isaiah 33:6
"He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure."
---------*-----------*--------------*-----------*--------------*----------------*
This week we received a letter from a dear friend whom we financially support in her ministry. She has expressed over the months that God has been guiding her in new ways but the light to the path isn't clear yet. She expresses changes on the horizons and isn't sure of what lies ahead, but her letter is a continuation of her search for new direction. She shares in the letter:
At this point in my life I am facing changes in many respects, and if I did not know the Lord and if I did not know that He establishes and directs my steps, I could be shaken by some of what I see happening around me ( Psalm 37:23; Proverbs 16:9 )
As I was thanking Him just a few days ago for the fact that I know He is the same yesterday, today, and forever ( Hebrews 13:8 ) and that although circumstances and relationships may change, He never changes nor forsakes me ( Hebrews 13:5 ). He brought a verse to my mind that I have known over the years. Through this verse He has also brought comfort to me for these changing times I am in. The verse is Isaiah 33:6: "He shall be the stability of your times".
Isn't it a comfort to know truths that confirm His faithfulness to us, and then in addition to realize that He is our stability!
The word "stability" means the strength to stand or endure; firmness; the property of a body that causes it, when disturbed from a condition of equilibrium, no matter what!
If you are not now in a situation in which changing circumstances are a factor, then you may not appreciate fully what this promise has meant to me in these last days, but you know a time will come when changes will be a factor, and, as I said earlier, then you will want to embrace truth. It will hold you with hope and confidence in a state of changes! Thank you again for your faithfulness! "
Here is one person who can recall and claim God's mighty Scriptures to see us through difficult times. Even though our stability is shaken in the present, He promises that He will always be the same-never wavering.
Changes become a factor in our lives. If not today, then surely tomorrow or the next day. Isn't it wonderful to know that when changes come we can go to God's Word to find strength to see us through another situation! Let's not wait for the storm to seek verses that comfort and direct, but let's be prepared when these days apprear on the horizon ( and they surely will ) and have these fantastic truths in our memory bank.
Prayer: " Father God, we do not know when changes will appear, but we know they will. Prepare in our hearts those Scriptures that will give us everlasting promises. Make us aware as we read these Scriptures to pick out those that will strengthen our faith in You. We don't want to wait before we seek. We want to have hidden in our hearts those verses which give us assurance that You will be there in time of need. Thank You, God, for taking care of all the needs of the past, the present, and most assuredly the future. Amen.
Taking Action:
1)Memorize Isaiah 33:6
2)List in a journal(if you'd like to start one)5 events in your life in which God has provided
3)Trust that He can be trusted for your future situation.
4)Do you see any future changes for you and your family? What are they? What verses will help you through these changes?
Reading On:
Psalm 37:23
Hebrews 13:8
Proverbs 16:9
Psalm 42:11
Hope you enjoyed our 1st devotional. ( Feedback wanted please, Helpful? Wanted? Not Necessary? Overboard? What? This takes a good bit of time to type, so I just want to make sure everyone is ok with this or what. ) Thanks !!! Have a great day!

I hope everyone is doing extremely well today. I included the group as a whole in my prayers/thoughts as I fell asleep last night. I woke up to DH asking me if today was the day that magic MIL had said we needed to BD (she told me early AM but the date was Sept. 15th) Gotta love him for trying hehe.
Lisa, I think your daily devotional is a great idea. I don't have that book myself but maybe someone else does and can trade off days with you for posting?
Oli, your wedding sounds wonderful! Special thoughts coming your way for a BFP. Maybe there just wasn't enough HSG in your system yet?
Great meeting the rest of you and I look forward to getting to know all of you much better. Maybe we can arrage a special prayer session in chat one day? Probably not the TTC Chat but ICQ or something? Just a thought.
Gotta get to work now... need to make more sales!
Kathy
It was nice hearing all of your stories and getting to know you better. Lisa-I think the devotionals are a great idea. Keep them coming! I don't have any news today, but thought I'd check in and see how everyone else is doing. Mondays are my busy days with work until 2:00 and then class until 9:00pm. Hope everyone is doing well!

9DPO and no OBVIOUS symptoms. I had AF type cramps all day yesterday which seems to have eased up today. I still have those little "twinges" on occasion almost daily. No nausea, but I have been pretty darn tired...............which could be due to the fact that my 2½ year old has double ear infections which have been keeping him up all night. The only thing that seems to be different is how sluggish I've been on my runs. By the end of the run, I'm just simply pooped out. Again, lack of sleep could be a definite reason for that.
I dunno ladies, I've been trying to be optimistic, but that "feeling" just isn't there like it was with my other three kids. I'm trying to keep in mind that I'd be extremely fortunate to conceive on the very first cycle and that chances are, I probably didn't. I think it's just this darn waiting that's getting to me.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone!
Heather- who's moving on down to the 1WW! :o)

Well, not alot of news today. Had hot flashes all night. Even had to wake DH up and ask him to trade me sides because his is directly under the fan. I woke up feeling like I was going to start AF, but nothing. My bb's are still sore and my legs hurt like they do around AF, but it just keeps comming and going. Weird!
I will check in through out the day to see if any new posts are up. Have a great Christ filled day!

Good Morning Sisters!
Yep...I just got out of bed! LOL! 10:30 a.m. I never sleep this late...but it is my day off and I guess I was just really tired! Anyway...what a great way to start the morning...a great devotional from Lisa, and catching up with everyone! Too cool!
No real news from me...just anxiously awaiting O. I really hoped I would have a temp spike today, but no. DH and I went to the Studio Movie Grill last night...just as we were leaving the theatre, I had the hiccups. I noticed last cycle that I seem to get the hiccups around O time...I know that is strange, but it's true! Of course, it could be because I ate pizza and had two classes of Diet Coke during the movie...a real treat for me. I usually only have 1 small glass of Diet Coke when I first wake up, and then water, water, water... So maybe my body is just not used to all the carbonated drink anymore. Funny how when you are TTC to seem to notice every little sign and hope it is somehow related.
I need some prayers right now...slightly off topic...I've been stressed with a job I hate lately, and I have a pattern of snacking too much when I feel stressed. And of course, Clomid is known for putting weight on you. I've lost 40 pounds since January...and now am bouncing up and down the same 2 pounds. My DH tells me not to worry so much...that he thinks it is great I've maintained my loss...but I'm worried...and want to lose some more. I need to start exercising more, I think. I need to be more like Heather and just get outside and run...or really, in my case...walk fast! But it is 100+ degrees outside most days. The good news is I get to quit the job soon...my last day is September 24th!
Well...I have to go start laundry and everything else around the house that waits to be done on my day off! Including Mattie (the dog) who is WAY overdue for a bath! I hope everyone is having a great day! I'm saying some extra prayers for you guys in the 1WW! Hope we see some BFPs soon!
Take care,
Anne

Anne - Proud Mommy to Rachel Elizabeth!
I was typing my morning hello when you were typing the devotional. I've just had a chance to go back and read what you typed. IMHO, its good but I could do with just the daily prayer. Not to mention all the time it will take you to type all the other stuff. I'm just afraid you will burn out on it really fast and none of us wants you to take on that burden.
Thats just my two cents.
Kathy
This is an exciting time in our lives; let's use it to give God the glory! BTW I like the devotionals but like Kathy mentioned maybe you can include parts of it, and not the whole thing as this seems like a lot of work for you!!
Ladies, make it a great day!!! love, Anne ttc#1, cd20

Thanks for the feedback concerning the devotional. It looks like the review was slightly mixed, but that's ok. That's what I wanted to hear. I want them to be beneficial, not boring and dreadful, so, I will shorten them to include what source I got it from, the title, the scripture reading, the key scripture and the prayer. That way it cuts out the long story and if one wishes, they can reference the scripture given. I may include a story if I think it is really beneficial and will touch our hearts and needs. I also have some "Daily Guidepost" books that I may pull something from, so please bear with me until I'm able to work out all kinks and figure out what everyone would like and needs.
Any suggestions are welcome and please, if someone else would like to include material, feel free too. This is our group !!!
