Inexpensive HTPs? (m/c mentioned)

I'm de-lurking to ask a question. I usually don't have a problem getting pregnant so I didn't think I'd be here long (this is baby #4). But after a miscarriage last week it looks like I may be sticking around a little longer than I'd hoped. I went through no less than EIGHT pregnancy tests last month! It was so expensive, but I just kept testing to try to figure out what was going on with my body.

Anyway, I know I'm going to be just as obsessive the next time I try - if not more. I've heard some of you mention getting HPTs off the internet. Can you tell me where? How much they cost? Were they very reliable? How long did it take you to receive them in the mail? And any other info. you might have. Thanks so much! I'm not sure my husband understands how obsessive the wait can be, but I know you ladies do!

hi angie, i bought really cheap ones through www.freepregnancytests.com

for the first time only you can get 3 tests for 1.99 which covers the shipping. After that it's .49 per test and shipping i believe is 1.99 for up to 50 tests. standard delivery was 5-10 days. though you could pay more for express. it's not like the kind you buy in the store that you just pee on. you have to pee in a cup wait 5 min then dip the tiny stick and wait anpther 5 min for the results. the wait is worth the money saved. they also have OPT as well. check it out. the HPT can detect levels of 20 versus many in the store that don't detect till 50. i used one already and got a faint pos at the day of AF was due. I haven't been very lucky with the store kinds for both my boys till at least 2weeks overdue. so i say they work. i also heard that e-bay also carries hpt as well so check it out. GL to you! Hope your stay is short & sweet
