Hi,

I am using Fertility Friend and I have a question. I'm hoping I can other women's insight. I have been using OPk's and also charting everything else,BBT,CM,CP. I had positive OPK's on CD 12,13,14. Looking at my chart I think that I O'd on CD 15 but FF is telling me I O'd on CD13. What do you guys think?? Any advice/answers would be appreciated. Of course I am hoping it is day 15 because my husband didn't come home until CD13 and we only BD'd once.

TIA,

Angel

I think it is cd15. I have a similar beef with FF right now, and I just posted a message about it. Yours looks more clearly wrong on FF's part.

Angel,

I think it could have been either CD 13 OR 15 based on your temps. SOme people do have a fall back rise and that would be consistent with your low temp on CD 14. I think the reason FF says 13 is your OPK results. Are your sure you had three days of completely positive OPK? That would be very unusual. Was one day the darkest line? If so I would just put positive on that day. Standard wisdom says that you O 24-48 hours after the FIRST positive result, which is what I think FF is seeing. Oh and you can adjust the factors FF considers. It would be interesting to tell FF to ignore OPK (or just remove them temporarily) and then see what it says.

Fertility Friend is just a tool. All it can do it take the information we put in and do the best it can based on all the standard knowledge out there. Sometimes it will be wrong because our bodies are not always standard. That's one reason they have the "tune" and "override" options. (although tune is only for VIP)

We all stress over the charts, but sometimes we just have to patient and see what it looks like in a few more days. I think we can all use help with that!

Best of Luck to you!

Hi girls,

Thanks for the info. I did get a positive OPK three days in a row, but the first one was the same color as the reference line and the second two were DARKER than the reference line. If I go into FF and change the first OPK to negative and take the first darker OPK as my positive OPK then it changes my O day to CD 15 which is really when I think that I did, but we will see in a few weeks!!!! Thanks for all the help.
