Has this ever happened to anyone?

This is a bit embarrassing but I wanted to know if anyone has ever had this happen and if it might have put a damper on things. So here goes:

DH and I BD last night. Stayed in bed for an hour after ( I read you should 10-20 min). When I got up to go to the bathroom...some(not too much) leaked out. Is this common and like I said....could it have put a damper on things? Also.... is BD every night a bad thing? we don't think DH has low count and I am not sure if i have already or will O. My calender says O day tommorrow ( but I do not know if I am on 28 day cycle or not), but had the wet, slimy Strectchy CM ( sorry for the graphics) earlier this week. Maybe that was fertile CM or possibly residue for BD.

I was wondering the same thing. An OPK told me I'd O soon (yesterday maybe?) and we BD last night. I shouldn't worry because we BD two days before too. BUT my point is, I had to use the bathroom really badly and couldn't wait. I was worried about losing too much.

Then again, if going to the bathroom after BD prevented pregnancy, there would be no need for birth control, right? (Thinking positive here! LOL!)

Having some leakage is fine. The swimmers swim up almost instantly. You don't need to worry

You will always leak some out, there just isn't anyway to stop it. They say to lay down for a bit to give the swimmers a chance to move into the CM so they won't leak out. But even if you don't lay down for a while, you still keep plenty of swimmers inside! So don't worry about it.

I agree my doctor said that after 30 minutes if the little guys havn't made their way up they probably aren't good ones.

Be careful with laying down too long afterwards. I have been laying down for 30- 60 minutes for the 5 days we BD during my fertile time. I have done it for the past 3 months and have gotten UTI's the last three months & I never had them before in my life.

Thanks ladies! That is reassuring. What about the BD every night since I do not know when exactly I will/ or may have already O'd?

I agree. I could lay down for two weeks and I'd still have a little leakage afterward. Nothing to worry about. Like an earlier poster said, if all of these little things hindered PG we'd never have to use any birth control.

I can only speak from my own experience, but, I have found that BD every night is not that great for TTC. With my first pregnancy I was charting and we were trying really hard to get pregnant. For the first three months we were BD every day with no luck. The fourth month we went to every other day and got pregnant. With my second pregnancy we weren't really trying and were BD every few days. I am sure there are many other women who will have different experiences and who have probably gotten pregnant with BD every day or even a few times every day ;-), this is just my experience.

Good luck to you. I really recommend charting temps and CM just so you know what your body is doing.
