CM induced by BCP??
| Sun, 08-31-2003 - 7:19pm |
I remember people saying that the BCP can cause CM that looks like EWCM, which I experienced while I was on the pill. I am now CD10 of my first cycle since going off the pill and have experienced no CM yet. I'm wondering though...when and if I do experience CM around the time of O, can I trust that it is truly EWCM and not somehow still induced by the pill? Now that I'm off, I'm wondering if the fact that I was on the pill can somehow still affect my CM or whatever, even correlating its presence around the time of supposed ovulation... (I was only on for 2 months) I hope I'm making sense! TIA! :-)

Here is my exp, I got off the bcp back in March this year (about 5 mo. ago) was on them for 11 yrs. I have had af's ever since I stopped but I am no longer on a 28 day cycle, my cycles have seemed to settle around 32-34 days finally. Also, this is our "first actual" month ttc #1 and I just bought the Clearblue Easy Fertitlity Monitor, forget the ov kits and testing that way with only 1-2 days pre warning that your about to ov, this monitor is suppose to give you about 4-5 days warning of high fertility (we'll see, this is only my first month using it) So far, af came on Aug. 22nd so now I am on cd 11 but do the fact that I don't ov like being on a 28 day cycle, I should ov around cd 21 (if you count and do the math) so now at cd 11, my monitor has detected NO kind of change in my horomones at all and I was starting to wonder "is this thing working?" but again, if I ov later than the norm, I would have no sings of ov coming it would happen around the 2nd week of Sept. I would think and hope. Right now cp is low, firm with hardly any cm at all so I know I am not close to ov yet or maybe I won't ov this month, that is why I bought this monitor, if I detect no changes at all with my ov coming on, maybe I'm not ov'lating at all then, even though I was tested on all horomones and thryoid last week. We'll see. Just putting my 2 cents in.
Good luck
