Hi Everyone, I have a question abut CM. For about

one day this cycle (now on cd39),I had some stringy

CM. Does this mean that you ovulated, or can you have

that kind of CM without ovulating? Thank you for

your advice in advance.

In most cases, the presence of EWCM (stringy "egg-white cervical mucus") means you will be ovulating soon... some women have several days of EWCM before they O, others may get one day or less. Generally, the last day of EWCM is the day before O, but that can vary from person to person.

It is possible to have EWCM, but to not ovulate. Sometimes our bodies gear up to ovulate, but for whatever reason, ovulation is disrupted - stress, whatever. The only way to know for sure if you O'ed - aside from ultrasounds & blood tests at the doctor's office - is to chart your BBT. You would see a set of lower temps pre-O, and a set of higher temps post-O.

You mentioned you are on CD39... on what CD did you have your EWCM? If it was more than 16 days ago, you might want to take a HPT. Is this a typical cycle length for you?

Good luck to you!
