After 5 at home test (3 different brands) and 5 positives, I thought for sure I was pg right. Well I started bleeding on Wednesday and I went for a blood test to confirm the m/c and the doctor said it was negative and that hcg takes so long to get out of your systems, I might not have been pg. Now I don't know what to think. I mean the postives weren't faint or anything. Totally confused. The bad news is I have A- blood, which I didn't know, I might have to go have a RH shot just in case. Even the doctors are confused. How can you get a false positive?

Well just venting

I don't know, I am waiting to hear back from the doctor. I talked to the nurse this morning and she was going to talk to the doctor when she got in and call me back

Guess we'll see

Geez, these Drs make me mad sometimes!!!! Now, in chatting with you yesterday, you said your hcg count was 4, right? So.....if there was hcg in your system, that means you were pg- no ifs ands or buts about it! URGH! When you took the tests it was probably just high enough to show a +...though you may have dislodged implantation already and the count had already started to decline. When I had my early m/c I went from 55 count on the day I started bleeding to 4 two days later. Tell me it can't go down that fast.

((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))sweetie- don't let them try to tell you they were false +. What's done is done and it is a good thing that you know all is working and you can get pg. You will get a BFP again very soon and it will be sticky and all will be well! So now you know about the neg blood- lots of people have this and knowing is the main thing- I beleive you anly have to get that shot once.

Hang in there Jen!

LOLOVE,

Tara

I am sorry for what you are going through and excuse me for being blunt, but I think your doctor is full of BS!!! I had the exact thing happen to me at the beginning of August.....7 positive tests, 3 different brands over a period of a few days. Well two days after my af was due, I just didn't feel right, my boobs weren't as sore, no other symptoms, so I went in to have blood drawn and my beta came back at 55. The doctor said it sounded fine for as early as I was, but I still didn't feel right. This was my third pregnancy and my first two are live births, so no other history of problems. Well, Friday, morning, I took another hpt and got a lighter line than I had been getting and went in for more blood work the next morning and my hcg was already at 14. Well by Sunday night, I started bleeding and then Monday morning it was already down to 2.5. So...HCG can leave your system quickly, especially in early pregnancy. I tell you this because I think you were pregnant and you had a very early miscarriage and your levels were already too low to detect. Just wanted you to hear my story. I know with all these tests and scenarios we can think we are losing it sometimes. THank goodness for all the wonderful stories and support on this board. Best of luck to you, Tressa
