Any ideas? Need some chart help...

I'm not expecting O until 17th, but my cycles have ranged from 28-34 days...although usually closer to 31.

I had fertile CM on day 13, way before I expected any. It was there at 10:30, gone by lunchtime. DH and I did not BD the day or two before, so I know I wasnt confusing it for anything else. My OPKs are still coming out negative, although todays was very close to a positive, just a *shade* lighter than the control line. Ive now had three months out of six where Ive had fertile CM twice in a cycle, once around day 13 or 14, then again around day 16 or 17. Any ideas? Can I be ovulating twice, or even ovulating at all when the OPK is -? This is the first month we've used OPK, as we werent willing to spend the money on them until you gals pointed me to the stick ones that are inexpensive.

Any advice is welcome, we are trying for a girl, so the rabbit method isnt what we want, and Im worried we will goof up on months like this if that was actually ovulation. Im totally confused.

I'm confused on your chart. Why are 2 of your temps disregarded? Is this your 1st month charting temps? Looking at your chart so far, it's hard to say if O occured. You could say yes, looking at the dip, then the rise in temps again. But then again, if you include those 2 temps, then I would say no, you haven't O'd yet.

P.S. What is the Shuttles method? I looked on the internet a few weeks ago for info and found nothing.

I was sick, and I think thats why my temp dropped. The two not showing are because I checked the box for fever. But in the early am temp was low, then 101ish by midday. Nasty cold. Im thinking I havent yet, but when your trying for girl you have to be so sure, its hard...why its taking us so long TTC.

The Shettles Method (not shuttles, maybe why you didnt find anything?) is the method Dr. Shettles found that helps you concieve the sex you prefer. Its based on timing intercourse 3 days before O for girl, and at the time of O for boy. Even if you dont care what sex you get, its an amazing book for general charting and cycle knowledge. I highly recommed it. Theres a lot more to it then just timing, if you want more info feel free to email me and I can share what I know...but getting the book is probably best.

It's possible to have fertile quality CM for several days leading up to ovulation. If you were to O on CD17, it's quite normal for you to see your first fertile CM on CD13. I noticed you had EWCM on CD13, wet on CD14, and EWCM on CD15. This is all very good! Watery CM can be extremely fertile too! I would keep using the OPKs, as I'm guessing your O is just around the corner.

Good luck to you!

Thanks, my OPK came up postive today! So Im crossing my fingers. DH and I decided not to chance it and BD last night, as we want to stop 3 days prior to o for a girl. So if I o in the next 24 hours, I should be in the clear..if its more like 48 we goofed this month. So all I can do now is start the countdown...send some pink baby dust my way lol!
