I read something referring to sudafed. Is this something I should avoid while ttc? I have chronic sinus issues and take sudafed to battle it. I also use flonase. But I am happy to be stuffy for a few days if it would make conception more likely! Any feedback welcomed. Thanks!

Hi

Sudafed "dries you up" meaning that it dries up the mucus in your nose/sinuses, but also dries up mucus/fluids elsewhere so taking it could mean less CM. If you take Sudafed, be sure to drink lots of water.

I don't know about Flonase.

I take allergy meds and sometimes just have to take Sudafed to get through the night. If you are post-O, I wouldn't worry about it and just take it. If you are waiting for O, then it's "iffy" whether I'd take it unless I was in really bad shape (meaning I couldn't sleep unless I took something).

Of course, if you are worried about safety during pregnancy, you should consult your doctor.....but I remember my OB letting me take Sudafed while PG with DD (now 3).

Good luck!
