Hi Teera,

I've been meaning to post to you for quite a while now, but my memory stinks! :-)

I just wanted to tell you how strange something is:

My DD (17 months old) has your same name. We came SO close to spelling it like that as well. We ended up spelling it Tiera (I justified doing it that way by this - layers of a cake are called a Tier and 'Pier 1 Imports' is said like that. So I thought - all we'd be doing is adding an "A" at the end of it. Of course, now she gets called TI-ERA all the time! Ugh! :-0 Oh well...

Also what I thought was weird is that we call her Tiera-Belle ALL the time! :-)

And lastly - we live only 35 minutes from Boston.

I just thought all of those things were strange. Are you in Boston, or are you from Boston, but no longer there?

Well anyway - HI and GL TTC this month. You and I are only 1 day off. You are on CD5 and I am on CD4. We're both in the "2nd round in June" group.

Hi Bethanee!!

I hope your daughter LOVES her unique name ~ as I LOVE mine! I have never met another person with the same spelling. I was named after a Dr my mother worked with when she was in high school. The Dr was from originally from Thailand & my mother resally enjoyed knowing this woman & decided that her 1st daughter would get the name :)

Over the years I have encountered MANY mispellings and even more mispronunciation. But it goes along with the territory. (By the way for those that don't know, it sounds like a tear (drop) then ad the "a" at the end.

I actually live about 30 minutes north of the city! But I work in downtown Boston. Would LOVE to get rid of the commute though!!! I'm sure you understand. I use the Belle since I consider Virginia home. My husband calls me his little southern belle. So I combined them. Glad you call her Tiera Belle instead of my mother's Teera Lira (sp)

Glad to have some good company in this cycle!! I hope we both get a precious pearl with a BFP!

Hi Teera,

I'm glad you saw this. I was going to feel kind of stupid bumping it up all day! :-)

So if you don't mind me asking - where do you live? 30 minutes north would put you just about where I am. I'm in Manchester, NH. (It takes us 35 minutes to get to Boston... not in rush hour!) :-)

We got her name from DH's grandmother. She is literally from Norway. In Norway they spell it 'Thyra'. It's said the same (except I think they roll the 'R' a little.) We just could NOT use that spelling here in America though. Everyone would be calling her 'thigh-ra'. How AWEFUL is that! :-)

Well anyway - I do hope we are both successful this month! GL and I'm sure we'll talk more.

When I read your note, I thought I read South of the City, instead of North. I live in North Andover MA. Straight up 93. We head into NH all the time, however we have yet to make it to Manchester. I've heard it's a really nice city.

Were you here when rnvattes (Jennifer) was here. She grad 3 months ago. She's from Manchester as well!

Do you work in NH? What do you do? How old is your DD? Have you always lived in the area?

I love names with a History / background! I think it's going to make naming children more difficult! You see my DH has a unique name as well.... I have my very own Fabio! So we just CANNOT have a John, Sue, Mary type of name (Not that there's anything worng with those names, these are my parents names). You want to know the funny thing... my ITALIAN MIL has told me a number of times that I have an American name! ROFL!

Hope you have a great day! I'm on & off all day (I think subconsciously that the more I check in, the more likely I am to find the *secret* LOL!) So feel free to note away! Just a word of caution ~ I am not sure that I am making any sense today. I got caffeinated coffe this morning, which I never drink, and think it has made me loopy.
