I understand that your cervix is high and soft during ovulation, but what happens to its position dpo? If I get pg, does it stay high? When does it start coming down again if I'm not pg?

Hey Barb,

From what I understand everyone is different & everyone's cervix will be at different positions. Usually after O it's suppose to be low & firm again, then if you're pg it will go back high and soft. However I'm 8dpo and mine has stayed between medium & high but this is my first cycle checking so I'm not sure what it has done before. I hope this helps a little.

For me it goes back down to low, firm, and closed right after O. It will go higher and softer and stay closed if you are PG but not until like a few weeks after a missed AF. It also turns blueish or violet in color when PG, but a agian not until a few weeks later. some DR. compare the cervix to the tip of your nose when not PG, to the feel of your lips when you are. Hope that helps.
