Why does it say everywhere to BD every other day, and what's wrong with doing it everyday?

I had OPK+ yesterday and we BD, but it's positive again today, so does that mean I haven't ovulated yet?

There's nothing wrong with doing it everyday unless your DH has a sperm issue problem. I would do it again if I were you..tonight and tomorrow..and until O is confirmed!

Hmm, how do you confirm ovulation?

If you monitor your BBT, you will see a definite temp shift upward that will indicate that you have ovulated. Most women will BD a few days prior to their expected O time, through the time when they get their pos OPK, and give DH and rest once the temp shift is evident. :)

I think they want to make sure the sperm have time to build up again?? I'm not sure. That being said DH and I had sex like 5 days in a row right around the time of ovulation and I'm pregnant now, so go figure!

There is no harm in BDing every day. I have read that couples who do, get pregnant 20-25% sooner then couples who do it every other day. The fact that you got a positive OPK, means that you'll ovulate in approx 36 hours (from the positive) so chances are, you haven't ovulated yet. Sperm can live for up to a week (although rare) and doing it every other gives him a chance to regenerate.
