I went to the Dr last week b/c I didn't have AF for 6 weeks and ever since then I've been bleeding really light for a week every 2 weeks. After going to the Dr and having a pelvic exam, pap test, thyroid test and an ultrasound. Everything came back normal. Which the pap test coming back normal was kind of a suprise b/c I have HPV. So she prescribed me provera 10mg to take once a day for 14 days. I know I'm not pregnant now and I started taking them yesterday. I don't know if its side effects from the provera or not but I think I might be about to ovulate or ovulating now. I'm really new to all of this. Even before I started taking the Provera I

Hi -

You sound exactly like me! I have not had a period since the beginning of January. I don't have the spotting like you do though. I went to the dr around Feb 25th. The dr gave me provera and clomid. She did not do any physical exam on me which I thought was weird. So I was kinda scared to start Provera. I had done

Well I've only taken 2 days of it. But with the way my AF's have been. I'm scared that stopping taking them will mess me up some more. If I am ovulating would the provera stop it?? Or if I was about to ovulate would it stop it? IDK...

I had an anovulatory cycle that lasted 59 days! My MD prescribed Provera and AF showed on day 12 of 14. My nurse advised me to complete all 14 doses. Word of warning: Provera is known as the B**** pill! I didn't know that until afterwards...wish someone would have told me so that I could have given DH a heads up.

Good Luck!

I don't know if it will stop you from Oing. My Dr told me to use a different form of BC. So I bought some condoms. Which my DH is thrilled about. Men can be so selfish about BC. :)

I was really worried that I might be in the early stages of pregnancy and accidently "abort" it by using this pill. My Dr did not give me too much info. I did a HPT this morning - neg. But I think I am approx 10 days past O. I bought some natural progesterone cream off the internet. I am using that twice a day. I am hoping if I am not preggo I can get AF with the help of this cream.

Good luck! If you do decide to continue the pill (and since you are already 2 days into it might as well huh?) I would use a different form of BC. Did your Dr also give you clomid?

Haha yeah my BF doesn't like to wear condoms either. "It doesn't feel as good!" haha MEN! Well I actually did alot of googling lol after I made this post and all the info I found said that...

Provera does NOT stop you from ovulating

Provera does NOT make you ovulate

Provera was actually once used as a diagnostic pregnancy test. (If you took it and you got your AF then you're NOT pregnant but if you didn't get your AF then you are pregnant)

Yeah I had a headache too the first day. But I haven't had one since. The only side effect I'm experiencing right now is nausea. It's not that bad just annoying. My Dr told me some of the more

That is good that you don't have too many side effects! I started AF this morning. It is good, I guess. I rather be pregnant! 72 days (roughly) with no period. I guess I can try the clomid my doctor gave me in a few days.

I hope we get our BFPs too!!! I'm on day 5 of taking the Provera. I did talk to my Dr and she said that I can either do 10 or 14 days of taking it. She said she would prefer that I do the 14 days but if I start experiencing the more intense side effects she said to take at least 10 days of it. But my birthday is coming up on the 22nd. The 21st will be day 14 of taking Provera. I don't want to have my AF on my birthday!! YA KNOW!?! So I'm going to try to take it the whole 14 days because I doubt that I'll start the next day! Well... knowing my luck it will but hopefully I won't!! Wish me luck!
