Does any one have an uncircumcised husand? I find my husbands gets sore and red at the tip. Would you have your son circumcised?

My Dh and son are both uncircumsized. The soreness and redness may have nothing to do with it. Has he consulted his doc?

Both are not circumcised..it is an unnecessary procedure and purely for cosmetic reasons or religion.

My Dh is circumsized and while we don't have any boys yet, I will definately circumsize my son. It reduces the risk for urinary tract infections and yeast infections.

I think a lot of it has to do with personal hygeine, skin type, etc. My husband and son have never had any trouble with it at all.

DH is not circumcised but he's never had that problem, to my knowledge. I do not plan on circumcising any sons.

Personal hygiene was not the problem with him.

Mine was uncirc'd too but had problems like your husband's. He had it done himself when he was 20 or 21 and insisted our son's be done, too.

To the other posters, I think it's really ignorant to blame poor hygiene and claim "it's only done for cosmetic or religious reasons" on something that *is* a medical condition in some men.

I want to apologize to anybody who read my post and assumed I was saying there were issues because of poor hygiene. That was not my intent. I meant that I have seen issues with poor hygiene in which the uncircumsized male had a lot of issues with it and more instances of yeast infections and UTI's which are common problems in uncircumsized penis' anyway even with outstanding cleanliness.
