OK. So I'm 10dpo, I've been TTC #2 since Jan. 08...and never had that 'I'm pregnant' feeling like I did w/ my DS...but this month, I feel it. I wasn't going to test until 12dpo, but I woke up and just had too!
I used FMU w/ an internet test and saw 2 lines in less than 2 minutes! The line is very very very light though, so I tested again (same FMU) with a 1st Response and got nothing...so I don't know what to think???
Since TTC #2 I've always gotten BFN's this is the first one that's even close! But, I'm really confused about getting a slight line on the internet test and a visible BFN with the 1st response. I am going to “try” to wait until 12dpo to test again.
I was going to attach the pictures of the internet strip but I forgot my camera at home L

Hi! Was it a digital or classic First Response test? Last I heard, the classic style First Response Early Result (non-digital) is their most sensitive. Also, what sensitivity (MIU) is your internet cheepie? If it doesn't say on the package, it might be listed in the ad that you purchased it from.

That's a tough call Anje. They say that ANY line is a line - so don't give up hope! But in my personal experience, I had internet cheepies that were even more sensitive then yours, labeled to detect HCG at only 10 miu. At 12DPO, I got the faintest line in the world. So, I retested using the same FMU with a classic First Response Early Result and the line was darker, but still rather light. I did turn out to be pregnant. Now, I had tested two days previous with a FRER and got a negative.
In your case, it is possible that your internet cheepie is picking up the positive before the FRER because it is advertised as more sensitive. But, proceed with caution because I have seen independent studies that classic FRERs can actually detect HCG at around 6.5 miu, much more sensitive then the 25 miu that we have all been hearing.
I'd go ahead and sacrifice another internet cheepie or two and save the FRER for at least 12 or 13 DPO.

I totally see the line in both pictures. I am so very excited for you. Put me down on the believers list!
CONGRATS!
