I have PCOS and was put on Glucophage (generic name is metformin) to control insulin absorption and help w/ ovulation. The first time I got pregnant, I only had to try for 4 months. Had an easy and healthy pregnancy, and a happy, healthy boy. My OB said the Glucophage probably helped. I just got back on it again a couple of months ago, and am now trying to get pregnant again. I'm hoping it's as easy this time. Anyway I don't know if you've ever been on it but if not you should mention it to your gynecologist. It could really help you conceive.
i think i will bring it up when i go in at the end of the month...ive never been so scared/excited for my yearly exam ;) i am so ready for this, my dh is tettering, he wants it in his heart he just says hes scared of having multiples again due to money....one set is expensive, 2 would be really expensive,lol..........i dont know, ive been reading a lot about different avenues and im starting to wander why my ob never put me on that to begin with vs. clomid right away? im not complaining b.c obviouslay it worked well but....oh well, i guess we shouldnt dwell huh?
thank you!
