Should I have my husband tested?

I everyone, DH and I have been ttc #1 for 4 months now and I was wondering if he should get his sperm count tested. He is 46 yrs old and I am 34 so I really don't have time to waist. I have always had regular periods and am using the clearblue fertility monitor for 1 month now and ovulated fine. So I don't think it could be me.
Where does he get this done and roughly how much does it cost?

Thanks

4 months is still pretty early, but if you suspect there might be a problem, call your obgyn. They will write you up lab work and give you a cup to take home, its really easy to get started! Mine had us take our sample to the hospital. Ours cost about $150, but im sure every where is different. I think some insurances may even cover it if they cover infertility testing. Good luck!

It is early, but sometimes you need to trust your instincts. If you want to try something inexpensive, you could check out the at home test. I am considering this for my fiance but I haven't tried it yet (we know he has issues because of low testosterone). It is just under $40. Here is a link...

Thanks!
I know it is kinda early, I just get impatient and am now on my 2ww, 12 DPO aggrrrr, the wait is bad.
Thinking of taking a early test tonight or 2mrw morning. I've been having cramps for the last 2-3 days which I don't recall ever having before my period. Kinda weird (fingers crossed).
Thanks again for your responses. I will wait another month and then try that male fertility test :)

Good luck! As for the sperm test, we ordered it last night. I'll let you know what its like after we try it. Should be interesting and scary at the same time.

As previously stated 4 months is pretty early, however most doctors will start testing women over 35 after 6
