I emailed pictures to a friend Monday and they bounced back via Mailer-Daemon and Postmaster. I opened one of the "undeliverable" messages and it stated my pictures were too big for her mailbox. I presume the other two messages are for the same reason but have not opened them. Now, I just read the following artical. Is this something I should be comserned with? Does Norton Anti-Virus catch worms?

Usually you have to open an attachement to activate the worm.

Let's ask Ed what he thinks Kathey,

Ed, if you right click on a message go to properties, then look at details then message source can you activate any viruses or worms? I was told that you couldn't and I have been checking things out that way. You know I never open attachment but sometimes I like to find out what is in there without opening it. Right or wrong?

Thanks Janet

Thanks, Donna L. and Janet. Trend is a bit technical for me and I don't even understand how my anti virus is working. By that artical in USA Today, I got the impression someone was sending McDoom worm through Mailer-Daemon and Postmaster and that I would get it if I just opened these emails from Mailer or Postmaster to see which emails I sent were being returned.

Are you as confused as me, yet?

I did send some pictures to KT this morning and she got them.

Do you use Outlook Express to send your pictures? Do you dump your sent items folders? Do you keep all the emails you have ever gotten? Not only can that be a lot of stuff but might cause a pictures not to send. No room to move.

After I have a picture go through my photo program and I have resized it, and saved it as a .jpg. It looks small but then when I put it in an email, YIKES it is huge. Rather than going in and resizing it again I got that little resizer from Micorsoft, I can right click on the photo and resize it right then. I will sometimes just make a smaller copy then after I have it sent I can delete the small one if I don't want it. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

I sent them through both Yahoo and Hotmail to Yahoo and Hotmail. There was no problem with the once I sent this morning.

I do save photos but not in email. I move them to My Pictures. If I move them to disk, can I do one today and another tomorrow on the same disk? Or do I have to use a disk up at one time?

Thanks for the site--just what I need a new toy with new instructions (lol).

If you have Windows XP, you can go right to your picture file and send it from there.

I have always used OE to send pictures I really don't know about sending them in the other email programs.

I keep a disk of stuff that I keep adding to. I don't close out the disk I just stick it in and drag what I want to put on there and click record(I have Roxio Easy CD Creator) some will say burn. I was told that I couldn't do that but I have been all along. When I want to do something with one of the photos on the disk I just stick it in and drag it back into a folder in My Photos....

If it askes you if you want to close the session just say no.

Usually, the fake Mailer-Daemon notice will be for an email that you never sent.
