Now What?

After being told to download Ad Aware so many times, I finally did. I did the scan and came up with 18 critcal objects--IWon, Alexa, and 16 Tracking Cookies. I know I don't want IWon, but not sure what the other things are. Should I get rid of all of them?

Kathey, go here and type in the thing you think is a problem.....and the 2 you named are on the spyware list. Most of the cookies you can look at and if it is a cookie for somewhere you go all the time you can leave it or delete it but when you go back to that place you will get another one.
Besure each time you open AdAware to run the updates it is kind of like your AV software there seems to always be updates. They add more junk to their list to look for.
All I ever get is just known objects (cookies) so far I haven't had anything alarming.

Have a nice day !.
Yeah, what Janet said!
I usually delete all of those tracking cookies; if it turns out that it was one I want, I just have to log back in to that site the next time I go to it (like at iVillage, for instance).
