How to Copy Files

Hello,

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 98 on it and I've been having problems with it. I want to copy my files and all the digital pictures on to a CD or somthing before I really have problems and can't access or lose those files.

Does anyone have suggestions about the best way to do this? What do I need?

Thanks for any help.

It does not have a CD Burner. It does have a floppy drive and a DVD player.

When my laptop showed signs of going to Heaven, I bought a flash drive, also called a thumb drive.

Not just because I want a thumb drive but I like Karen's idea. You could put your data on a floppy but you would probably have to have a bunch of them. A new computer probably won't even have a floppy drive and you would have to have a friend do it for you anyway.

The thumb drive will come in handy
