Oh the frustration has set in! I have download, restarted, downloaded again....reset security levels, allowed java....what else is there...why can't I open links in certain pages??

Oh well for submitting my homework in on time...I have learned my lesson to do it at work from now on!

Do I need to call someone out to take care of this for me? is there anything I can do??

What kind of errors are you getting and when?

It is a yellow sign with an exclamation sign in it..in the bottom left corner of the page, it usually says 'Done' when it loads a page...but when I click on a website, the page opens then when I click on a link in that site it says "error on page"

Do you have any suggestions for me??? I guess I might have to breakdown and call someone to come out.

Thanks I'll be waiting for your reply

Kathey I don't suggest using toolbars at all. But use 2 different browsers. I could use IE and set it to Remember me with the name emty_nstr........then I could open up another like Mozilla or Netscape and sign in using my CL and tell it to remember me here. That way I would not have to log in here I could just have to remember which browser I used to come to Computers and which one I use to come to the rest of iVillage......it shouldn't take that long to learn..........lol.......well.....maybe........lol

Also the Done But with errors on page.

That is telling you that there are some errors on a page. They are called script errors and are because the person that did the site didn't get something right.... it is not your fault and there is nothing wrong with your computer or browers. You can try this......... Go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced and then scroll down where it says Display a notification about every script error. If there is a check mark in it, uncheck it click Apply then Ok, that should take care of some of them.

I get that caution on My Way homepage I have that script error unchecked so I just ignore it. Nothing is broken and it is not anything you can do to fix. Like with My Way I would suppose that webmaster has been notified that he needs to check it but since the page works great and I like it I am not going to stop using it. I come across that every once in a while while surfing.....

I better post this to chpwife2002 so I can make sure that she sees it too....... Janet

There may be some tweaks that you could make so you could get the links you want. But first I wanted to tell you this

Janet,

Thank you, but well that didn't work either. I don't understand when you say it is 'on the page' error....meaning it is who wrote the script....the page and links work perfectly fine at work...just not here at home. I have found that it is MANY sites that I can open webpages, but cannot open some links...for example on this page I can't click on 'attache a file' it does nothing but show me the same error message. It is very frustrating. I had heard that Sun and Microsoft had a new thing...or something that some of their programs didn't work well with each other, I have been to both of thier sites and loaded a bucket full of different programs, and yet to no avail.

If you think of anything else please let me know.

Thanks

Di

YEAHHHHHHH

It works..it works...I loaded FOR FREE, Mozilla and every website I need and links are opening just fine and dandy - so my problem is somewhere with IE....

YAH I am so excited!!!

Now I just need to figure out how to transfer all my 'favorites' and trust me I have a ton of them!

Thanks for all the help!
