• Start

• My Computer

• Local Disk (C:)

• Open the "Documents and Settings" folder

• Open the folder with "your name" (or whatever name of the person who's favorites you want the shortcut to)

• Right-click on the "Favorites" folder

• Select "Create Shortcut"

• Right-click on the newly created shortcut and select "Cut"

• Make your way back to your Desktop and right-click and "Paste"

The end!

I did this, but what this does is make a shortcut to the favorite folders window. What I want to do is to make a shortcut to the list of favorites as they appear in IE. It was possible to do that with 98. I haven't been able to do it with XP Home Ed...can it be done? Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to post Martha :O)

You should easily be able to change the format of the shortcuts once you open the Favorites folder from the shortcut on your desktop. Just choose the View button and select List or Details to see a "list" of favorites. If you mean a list like a web page of links, in IE go to File, Import and Export, and Export your favorites to a file on your desktop. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you mean......

I changed the view to lists and it's working quite well. Thanks! I doubt I would have figured that out myself :O)
