hello to all of you, hope somebody would be able to help me.I've changed computers and have somebody help me with the change.I have hot mail and messanger for the last 4 years, but on the new computer which is running XP impossible to connect to messanger.i could use the hot mail but it will not accept the password when i got to messanger.i tried to uninstall and re-download to no prevail.Am I doing something wrong?
Also my grankids play a lot on the computer, and somehow they succede to move all tool bar instead on the bottom of the screen, now everything is on the right side, and I'm not able to move it down back, not by druging,or any other manuvers of the mouse from the corner,or to move down with the arrow.
any help would really make me very happy
thanks

Well, first, right click on your task bar and if there is a check beside "lock the Taskbar" uncheck it and move it back down where you want it then right click on it and lock it again. That should fix that.
In XP it is easy to set up a user for the grandkids then that is the only area they can get into and you can set it so they can't get into things that they shouldn't. I hope the kids are little otherwise if they are a little older they already know more than you do........lol.............
Could they have signed into Messenger with another name? That would keep yours from being accepted. Clearing all the cookies might help and the temp files. MSN messenger has from what I have read been having some issues but really it is just MSN I think. I am not recieving my MSN groups weekly newsletters and the groups report strange things going on.
Have a nice day !.
with the messanger,i found a way to open it,so i made a short curt, but for the task bar ,no chance impossile to move back horizontally, it wiil stay only vertically at the right of my screen.so i gues i have to get used to used it as such.
thanks any way.

If I would have had Google when I was a kid I would be a doctor or something now and very rich.....lol.....
I don't know everything, but I don't mind looking things up. So here is my secret......( and knowledge isn't worth much unless you share it...)
Have a nice day !.
That could be I know that I am not recieving the group newsletters and others have been talking about things going on at MSN....guess we will have to wait and see. I have never downloaded AIM or ICQ but have friends that won't use anything else so I just got an account with them and downloaded Trillian and can talk to them all without having all the IMs downloaded.
If you happen to tune in when there are a lot of friends on it gets hectic but we can all talk at the same times which confuses me.....lol.....I am a slow typer and it can get wild sometimes.......lol.....especially when I get my grands on there and they type IM and I just use words .....I have to try and figure out what they are saying before I can even answer......lol.........Janet
Have a nice day !.
What is the ICQ
ICQ is one of the older IMs. http://www.icq.com/
Have a nice day !.
This happens a lot, someone asks a question and sure enough if not the same day shortly there after the answer comes in a newsletter.....I got this in a newsletter this morning.......
