Here's a beginning paragraph:
"Well, I have news for you. That Internet account you have at work is not your private space. It's also your boss's space, and your boss's boss's space, and so on up the line. In fact, if you think you have any real privacy on the job, you're laboring under a delusion. Here are some of the more common myths about Net privacy at work."
All I can say is, I'd never do *anything* of a personal nature on a workplace computer. :=O In fact, on one job, we "peons" had email and an email addy (but only managerial had web access). For those who didn't have a computer at home, this was very tempting to use for personal matters, of course, even more so than for those who *did* have access at home. The employer was very upfront about random checks by IT to make sure you weren't doing personal stuff while you were supposed to be working *and* that went for doing any personal word processing, as well. That was years ago, when this kind of technology was just arriving in the office... So I never, ever gave out my work email addy or used it for personal use. "Big Brother" was watching... :-\
