I spent the better part pf yesterday trying to figure this out.  When I turn my computer on, I get an error message "Explorer encounterd a problem and needs to close.  Clik on tech stuff and get C:/docume1/sheila/locals/temp/werb.tmp.dir.00/appcompat.txt    I am guessing this file is the problem as my homepage has been hijacked yet again.  I ran AdWare, Spybot and Norton and it is still there.   I emptied all the temp files too.

I turn the computer on this morning and get a new message:  The instructions at Ox77f83905 referenced memory at Oxoooooooo."  The memory could not be written."

I am a computer moron at their wits end!

I also wanted to mention that after I ran all the anti-virus things, I reset the home page and it keeps coming back to my-find.com

Have you updated the definitions in your antivirus, spybot and adaware? If not, that program that is hijacking your homepage may not be detected or removed. Which page is being put as your homepage??

this is a known issue when running NAV with XP and outlook express.

Lower the settings on NAV and IE to except first party cookies and warn for third party.

Next you could upgrade to Outlook full version or change antivirus providers.

I still do not recommend adaware and spybot.

Geekman,

Why don't you recommend Adaware or Spybot? They are good ways to rid your machine of spyware. Do you use something different? I like Spybot because you can immunize your computer against a lot of junk.
