Laptop won't boot up. No lights, no noise. The adapter lights up and I know it's putting out power, DH tested with multimeter, so the problem is in the laptop itself. No service center nearby so would have to ship it out. It's a 2004 Toshiba Satellite. Not sure if it's even worth getting fixed, always had issues with it getting too hot and shutting down, acting weird etc. Anyone have any advice?

If its under warranty then ship it out. If your warranty has expired, then replacing a laptop integrated power supply which is a component of the mainboard is expensive. I would consider a new one lots of great deals out there now, especially when all the computer makers are trying to sell to the school kids.
