Drive Problems

Hi, it's my first time on this board. I hope some one can help me. For some reason my DVD-RW drive isn't reading discs at all. There is no errror message or anything and I know the discs I've tried are in good condition. Anyone have any idea what would cause this and how to fix it?
Have you tried cleaning it? You can buy a kit at the store that will clean the lens.

Try going to the Mfg website and see if there are new drivers for your drive or you might find that there is a known problem and they can tell you how to fix it.......... are you using a burn program? Is it up to date?

Have a nice day !.
Go to your device manager and delete the drive. Then reboot.Upon power up the PC will see the drive and reinstall it and it should run fine.

See how sometimes the easiest way to fix something is hard to get to?
Thanks, when I bought my MS Mouse I installed the software and started having problems with my pointer running around and sticking etc.......and I never use the back and forward buttons so that is just what I did. Uninstalled the software restarted my computer and the mouse has been working fine......even those buttons and the scroll wheel......
Thanks Again......Janet
Have a nice day !.
