I can't run my microsoft picture it software on this dang comp! It is loaded and looks all pretty till I try to use it and it says "picture it has stopped working..... please wait while we find a solution", then another screen pops up and says "A problem has caused this program to stop working correctly. Windows will close this program and notify you if a solution is avaliable." We got this computer as a Christmas present (brand new) and I wish I had opened it earlier........ Does anyone have any suggestions for what to use that is compatible with vista for my pictures and such!?!?!?

First of all congrats on the new computer.

I take it that you had the MS Picture it on your XP computer? What version do you have? Did you just buy the software?

Well they don't make Picture it for Vista it looks like...... http://www.microsoft.com/products/imaging/default.mspx

That is the bad news. The good news is that it says a lot of those features are already in Vista

Here are a half a dozen pages to read about your Vista......now because Vista comes in so many versions that makes things harder. I would think if you have Vista Home Premium you should be good to go.

I am not sure what Picture it does, I have a copy of it but I uninstalled it cause it didn't do what I wanted but that was a while back and I can't remember.

Also I just for your information I found that Google's free photo editing software has a free cardmaking one too.
