Beware of Latest Facebook Threat

A new Facebook attack is making the rounds. It shows up on a friend's page as a video link. The description claims that "99% of people can't watch." Users clicking the link are taken to a new page.

The page contains a line of code. Users are told to copy and paste it into the address bar. The code modifies your Facebook page and can give hackers control. So far 600,000 people have been affected. However, the attack is easily avoided. Never copy and paste information into your browser address bar. There is very rarely a legitimate reason to do so.

Thank you for the information.....I read Kim Komando all the time.

Have you seen the tv ads where people walk into a fake bank and are told they can get $500 if they fill out some papers? Like their SS number their mothers maiden name etc???? That is the way I treat things that tell me to copy and paste or type in my password.... I just click the red x.

Thanks again.....

Have a nice day !.
