I thought it was ok. I am dying for tonight's with the whole Maya thing (don't want to spoil if you're not aware).
I am super angry over the whole Cooper/Charlotte thing. I really liked them together. And I think he's being horrible. If you watched the cross-over one, the fight they got into at the office was horrible and she was completely right, he was being truly, truly cruel.
I sort of want Addison to get together with Sam. I love them both and I think they'd be cute together. I wish Pete and Violet would cut the crud and get back together. Unless I've missed something, she still hasn't seen/held the baby since before she dropped him off at Pete's house.
So has anyone seen last nights episode? I don't want to spoil the plot, but the whole Maya situation will have me ranting for weeks I swear. Cooper and Charlotte just break my heart. Violet... ugh... I'm so over Violet.
Maya was alone and maybe that was for the best. She made a decision that seemed crazy to absolutely everyone involved (and me as a viewer!) and in the future she'll be alone quite often so she might as well get used to it. But I agree this is one group of seriously screwed up people. So screwed up it's becoming a huge turn off. Is this really what the 30s are going to be like? God I'd rather skip the whole decade then lol. My interest in this show is rapidly plummeting but I'm willing to stick it out a few more episodes to see if it improves.
This is to everyone in this thread -- I COMPLETELY AGREE! LOL
The whole Maya thing... I feel for Naomi because no parent wants their child to go through teen pregnancy, but she took it a bit too far. I sort of did like how she leaned on doctor Fife(?) but then that too she spoiled by getting snotty.
Sam - meh. I think he was a bit too easy on Maya. I know she needs to be comforted to a point, but OMG, get mad at her. Wasn't there this whole big episode previously with her acting out and getting caught home alone with a boy (I think the same boy that got her pregnant?)??? I did like how he went after the boy, and then relaxed a bit after realizing he didn't know.
Sam & Addison - I like them together but I don't. I don't know. I'm torn.
Charlotte & Cooper - yes, yes, yes. He is being really, really cruel to her. And she does seem like a person who was never happy. Or in the least, someone hurt her really bad when she was happy (which is why it seems she never gets close to anyone, even girl friends). I have always loved Cooper - but this direction is really turning me off. The whole part with the woman who hoards... he was just so cruel towards her too.
Violet - she seriously needs a smack. ;) I'm hoping the breakdown with the guy who lost his wife that she was spending the day with will snap her out of whatever she is in because I really like Pete and I want to see them together. But not when she is like this.
Oh, I can't remember his name - the one with Betsy and the dead crack wife -- I agree... he's bleh lately. He's another one that is grating on my nerves, lol.
Sam - meh. I think he was a bit too easy on Maya. I know she needs to be comforted to a point, but OMG, get mad at her. Wasn't there this whole big episode previously with her acting out and getting caught home alone with a boy (I think the same boy that got her pregnant?)???
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't know any guy with a teenage daughter that would react like Sam after hearing this news especially after all the stunts she'd pulled lately. Yes he's not the explosive angry type, but come on. He could have had some stern words, demanded to know who the father was, a fierce growl... something! I was far more impressed with Naomi's reaction even though it was unpleasant.
What I really don't understand is after Maya had been busted skipping school to stay home with a boy & throwing a party with plenty of boys why didn't her parents just put her on birth control as a precaution? They seriously thought the "matter" was squashed because they grounded her and lectured her? Geez!
I'm still not happy about the choice Maya made, but I guess the writers figured that family needed some drama. Maybe all of this will bring Sam & Naomi closer together and shift focus away from whatever is stirring between Sam & Addison. They're not right together and Naomi would never support them.

Are you talking about the cross-over episode?
