I've never found a good list of horror books, aside from maybe the Horror Writer's Association of which books won the Bram Stoker award.

Terri ~

It'd be nice if the library had a Horror section like they do for Sci Fi, Fiction, Mystery, Kids ...

I agree with Marge ... we'll gladly recommend books if we know a bit better what you like.

If you haven't read Hell House by Richard Matheson, I highly recommend that one.

i own hell house!!! really good!!! most of the books in my collection are older books, like 1980s horror paperbacks such as tor horror books. kinds cheesy covers, but cool stories. i also have my moms old books from her teen yrs.. some twilight zone and other weird books. i havent really gotten into any new authors because when i go to the library its hard to know whats horror and whats just mystery anymore. thenks for the authors and book titles!! i can request the books now and keep a list for when i frequent book sales!! later today i will get out a few of my faves ive kept through the yrs and list them here.

My library doesn't have sections, aside from separating the kids' from the adults' books.
