The Nigerian court ratified the punishment for Amina Lawal. The punishment is death by stoning. How horrible is that!!! For those who dont know the case. Amina had a baby while she was divorced, that means out of her marriage, and that is a very serious and grave crime in Nigeria, women are the ones who gets the hardest punishment. The execution will take place on February 2004 once the nursing period is over.

The alleged father of the baby denied having sex with Amina, so the charges were dropped.

It only takes the man's word to exonarate tha man of having commited adultery unless exists 4 male eyewitness of good reputation that testify against the man. However the punishment for the women is different, they cannot be exonarated. The fact to be pregnant without being married is proof enough to be sentenced.

To get pregnant outside the marriage is proof enough to be condemned for adultery in Nigeria according to the new laws of the muslims, based in the Muslim Law (Shar'ia) who is applied in Nigeria.

There are websites of Amnesty international where people around the world can sign to condemn this horrible punishment and try to save Amina from that punishment. Share this with as many people as you know.

I cannot believe this kind of things still exist on this earth. How sad!!!

Nigerian stoning trial delay.

>"An appeal, due to begin in northern Nigeria for a Muslim woman convicted of adultery and sentenced to death by stoning, has been postponed because the judges failed to turn up.

The case of Amina Lawal, has provoked strong opposition from human rights organisations across the world, many of whom sent representatives to attend the hearing."<

Yep, yep, that's the "compassion and mercy of Allah's Islamic way," aLL right!

(But don't forget to remember those awful icky Crusaders who comitted atrocities 900 years ago, that somehow makes Christianity and Judaism as bad as "Holy Islam." )

PS: Why just think how WONDERFUL if would be if the whole wide world lived by the infallible laws of "Allah" and "Islam's mighty hand", as were revealed from the mouth of the "one true prophet of 'god'" Muhammed while he was having fits, sorry! I mean "prophetic raptures?" And recorded by his enlightened nomadic followers??

Surely that would be so much better than our "materialist, meat-eating, international-banker-globalizing, corrupt Western civilization and 'democracy,'" would it not??

To try and stop this kind of thing would require us to "take over", ie, go to war to try and stop it. YOu would think these "humanitarian" and "feminist" groups would be for all means necessary to stop the abuses of women and children around the world. But no,

they care about the rights of known terrorists and getting women into all-men's clubs.

Yep, or sentence the "President" of Nigeria to "death by stoning" as a worthless

baebarian, and sent in

the special forces to CARRY OUT THE SENTENCE. (As a violation of the UN Charter on Human Rights and against torture.) Send a message to the savage barbarians of the world that such conduct can no longer be tolerated because this is not the 12th. century, and the standards of justice of superstitious nomads no longer apply, "written in the Shariah of 'god'" or not, not in Nigeria, Not in the USA, and not in Saudi or Yemen!!!!

One or two such incidents should see the end of this barbarity. And if the UN has problems with it, then, hey, they are violating their own charters and rules.

No one would defend the stoning of women because it is in the Old Testament.
