Today, March 10, is National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers Day established in 1996 by Planned Parenthood and NOW (plus 20 other leftist orgs.)

The REFUSE AND RESIST website suggests cards and letters of appreciation and gift baskets of fruit and muffins for Abortion providing doctors and clinics.

Yes, I do believe that we must tell these heroes of our society how much we, as women, appreciate them sucking human life out of our wombs!

I wonder how pro-choice/pro-partial birth abortion John Kerry is celebrating this sacred holiday?

Have a great day! Get an abortion! I'ts a national holiday for crying-out-loud.

It is a day to remember and honor Dr. Gunn and others who have put and continue to put their lives on the line daily to make choice possible. Without abortion providers, there can be no choice. O.K. What about those unborn women's rights?

I am for every innocent life and do not believe that killing abortion providers is justified in any way. As a woman in control of and planning her life, I am against uplifting the practice of terminating life as something to be celebrated.

Your misunderstanding of the opposition is the reason why the abortion debate will never be resolved.

luvyadubya? Is that a joke? Is that your actual screen name? BY CHOICE?

I had no idea a holiday such as this existed, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I will say a silent prayer of thanks to all the doctors who are brave enough to provide women with the healthcare they deserve. Hell, I'll say it right here...THANK YOU!

Thank goodness "Dubya" won't be in office much longer to destroy more choices and lives. Women having control over their own lives and health? Gays marrying who and when they want? Ummm...yeah.

Signed,

Supporter of freedom to make personal choices without government intervention.

No one is asking you to celebrate - you are just being nasty and bitter - that was a very creepy posting and totally uncalled for.

i would celebrate a grown woman's life and rights over an unborn fetus any day !

For real, NO ONE is holding women down and sucking out their babies in the night. You act like its not their choice. I say being an abortionist is a damn brave thing to be. They dont laugh evilly about what they are doing! They have support groups for the women who have used their services. I had this argument for a long time with a girl I once knew. She was a devoute catholic who refused to have sex until she met the man she was going to marry. Well that happened and she got preggers. Only thing was she was epileptic and couldnt go off of the meds for 9 months at that pt in her life. The meds essentially kill the baby so she HAD to have an abortion. Are you so heartless for the women who make this desision that tears at their soul. Have some sympathy for the LIVING women who decide to do this. Granted I dont think it should be a form of birth control, but I do beleive its an option. If your not ready for a baby dont have one, especially if it will kill you. And as for Adoption- their are enough kids to go around already.

It's a *choice that is not necessary in this day and age. Back when it was illegal, there was a stigma attached to unwed mothers. Sure they would try anything to keep from ruining there reputation for life. Now, there are millions of single moms and ENCOURAGING women to deliver and then put the child up for adoption is a logical and ethical choice. The very fact that women who have abortions need counseling and help tells me that they need support to protect life, not wonder about their decision the rest of their lives.

Sure, I absolutley agree that in the medical conditions of saving the mother's life or in the case of proven rape, Abortion is in the best interest of the mother.

If women have really come so far, why aren't we wanting them to make more responsible decisions about sex and it's complications? If a woman is really in charge of the decisions in her life, she should accept the consequences of irresponsible behavior.

I have 2 beautiful little girls and experienced one missed-miscarriage where I had to have a D&C to remove the baby. It was horrific and I can't imagine someone willing going through that for convenience.

I know (all of) you won't change your mind and neither will I, I was stunned to see that some celebrate abortion. It's disrespectful and cheapening to the issue, no matter what side you are on.

I understand where your coming from.. Im not tryin g to change anyones opinion- in this debate once someone makes up their mind its pretty much made. I didnt mean to sound like I celebrate abortion, because I celebrate the right to choose.I think the people who work in a clinic everyday are brave.

I know people who have had mis-carriages, and I know people who have Abortions. Being there for these people was hard enough. Its great that you have two beautiful daughters. I dont know everything, But Ive seen what has happened on both sides. Still I think abortion should be legal especially in cases of rape, life threatening conditions and things of that nature. I am glad I have a right to choose as hard as it would be. sorry if I offended you.
