I totally agree gangdalf;if you analyze GWB's presidency, his most prominent accomplishment is the formation of the Homeland Security Department, a response to an obviously underestimated terrorist threat. What else will he have to base his campaign on? His terrorist theme has been critically flawed.

How do you account for the recording of Clinton himself at a meeting with businessmen in Long Island where he stated the reason that he did not take bin Laden was because he did not have the grounds to do so.

He goes on to say that he then pleaded with the Saudi's to take him, but they wanted no part of bin Laden.

Clintons own words seem pretty damning of themselves, dont they?

It astonishes me how many Bush supporters don't understand that Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden are not connected. That invading Iraq was not about fighting terror. Bush did it to avenge the assasination attempt on his father, period. The US supported Saddam, gave him weapons and money, in their war with Iran. He was gassing people then, we didn't care. Only when he invaded Kuwait, and all that oil that went with that land, did we decide we didn't like him anymore.

Bush supporters need to wake up. Unless you are a multi-millionaire business owner (and I doubt if you are reading this, you are) why are you voting Republican??

He chose to get revenge for his own father over the families of 3000 people who died on 9/11. He is the first president to lose jobs during an administration since Herbert Hoover. He is a right wing conservative who probably doesn't approve of your lifestyle. A president should be for all the people, not just those he thinks are morally correct. He has skyrocketed our deficit, misled us, and is now failing our schools with the horrible "No Child Left Behind". His tax cuts were a joke, going to the wealthiest of Americans.

Clinton is not running for president. George Bush is. What does it matter - why are we even talking about Clinton? Must everything be blamed on him? If Clinton was wrong, does it make Bush being wrong also any better? No, it doesn't, so stop wasting everybody's time!

My point is, lets stay in the here and now. What does it matter what Clinton did? We face a very important election this year. I assume this thread was created to place blame on Clinton instead of Bush? Is that productive? No, its not. Bush is running for re-election. It is his activities and priorities that should be explored.

And maybe if Republicans weren't hauling everyone into hearings to talk about Monica Lewinsky, we would have been more focused on our real problems during the Clinton administration - you know the time of peace, prosperity, no budget deficit and millions of new jobs?

Maybe you didn't post to me personally. There's a pull down menu if you wish to address a comment in general way, one can select ALL.

These 9/11 hearings are taking place & people are interested. Yes there's the blame game, instead of addressing the failures of the security system.
