Bush called for permanent extension of these tax breaks in his State of the Union address but not reform of the alternative minimum tax, which denies families most of the Bush write-offs.

Because of the AMT most "middle class" and lower Americans will NEVER be able to benefit from his "Tax Cuts" for "everyone" but the wealthy sure will be able to benefit from those cuts.  By the end of Bush's "plan," middle class America will be completely cut out of Bush's "Tax Cuts" while all his cronies will still be raking in billions.

This is the guy that is supposed to be for everyone?  The guy has always been and always will be for the elite 10% of America.  The rest of us are only here to provide that 10% with money and to die in his wars.

Do you consider people who make $200,000 a year, "elite"???

If one lives in a major city and makes this much, Kerry intends on raping you.

Face it, those who make the most should keep it.

Just for the record the poverty level for a family of four is $18,850 and lots of families live at or below that level. The median inome in my county is around $45,000. I just got my letter from social security and if I retire my full retirement benefit will be $16,800. Yep, $200,000 looks like a lot from where I sit!

The Shrub isn't for everyone. The Shrub and his merry gang of liars don't understand the middle class. They don't understand how this Bush recession has hurt the middle class. Why doesn't The Shrub talk about people who have lost their jobs, health insurance and homes? This crowd only understand big business and rich people! The Shrub and his gang want our tax dollars to support his illegal and immoral war in Iraq! Right now, we have the best president money can buy. Frankly, I want a refund!

Well at least you are being honest about it instead of lieing like Bush who says the Tax Cut is for everyone when most lower and middle class folks didn't get anything or had their taxes go up (like mine did).

Bush's environmental record is a disgrace.

Tax cuts increased pay cheques but expences are up much more. My electricity bill has doubled, my property tax has increased by a significant amount, by 1/4.

Our school system has been a disgrace for YEARS. I just love how Bush's No Child Left Behind plan is all of a sudden the culprit.

Vouchers are our only hope. They have been a success in the area's they have been implemented.

Please tell me you don't know Kerry's tax intentions? It looks like if you don't mind

paying more, you can continue to support him.

The system that was implemented in Florida seems to be having a huge success.

In this system, each school receives a grade ranging from A to F. Those schools that receive an F the first time will receive additional funding and some oversight into the processes in the school. If they receive an F a second time, then each parent will be given the right to pull their child from that school and send them to another school in the area.

To date, Gov. Jeb Bush said that schools that had received an F when the program was created subsequently received C's or better, and in one case an A. He credits his legislature for working together on the plan, and getting the teachers unions to go along with it.

Seems like a good idea, but too bad it would never fly in NYC, as I dont think the Unions would like the fear of perhaps having teachers lose their jobs.
