>>Sarin Nerve Agent Bomb Explodes in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A roadside bomb containing deadly sarin nerve agent exploded near a U.S. military convoy, the U.S. military said Monday. It was believed to be the first confirmed discovery of any of the banned weapons that the United States cited in making its case for the Iraq war.

Two members of a military bomb squad were treated for "minor exposure," but no serious injuries were reported.

It is well known that Republicans are free to depart from party lines if they feel it is right. Democrats don't seem to enjoy the same freedoms from their party.

LOL.

It's 894 coalition casualties.

785 of them are American.

One was one too many - you're right there.

>>because I am terrified of the one shell that Saddam had filled with Serin gas.<<

just to jump in... did i miss the part where we learned for sure that this was part of a government stockpile?

i find it much more likely that it was just 'lost in the confusion' after the 1st gulf war, or perhaps had been stolen by terrorists/insurgents or something.

>>If it had been delivered as it had been intended <<

LOL, if you mix the chemicals in my toolshed just right, you could probably kill thousands too.

Sarin is deadly, but it's also not that easily made OR dispersed. You also need to take into account route and length of exposure...

I think people get the impression that you can mix it in a vial and lob it through the nearest window and kill everyone inside...

>>Sadam promised that he had destroyed *all* of his Serin gas weapons.<<

Do we know for sure this is his sarin? It wasn't marked after all, and the last owners of said device didn't even know what they had...

Tests came back today that it was indeed Serin.

Also, if you'll read the article posted, it describes how it can be delivered for maximum impact. It was supposed to be a warhead, not a roadside bomb.
