>>Sarin Nerve Agent Bomb Explodes in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A roadside bomb containing deadly sarin nerve agent exploded near a U.S. military convoy, the U.S. military said Monday. It was believed to be the first confirmed discovery of any of the banned weapons that the United States cited in making its case for the Iraq war.

Two members of a military bomb squad were treated for "minor exposure," but no serious injuries were reported.

Okay...nobody on either the left or the right has EVER, as you say, "placed so much faith in Saddam's truthfulness..." Now you're just being silly.

The left and the right do NOT differ on whether or not Saddam Hussein was lying to us. It's obvious to even a child that he was. Where we differ is on what to do about it. President Bush decided to risk our credibility, our safety and the lives of our troops because Saddam lied. Others argued to bring the force of the world to bear on his lies, and to have the patience, not for occupation, but for inspections, and to deal with al Qaeda - our real enemy - first and foremost.

Meanwhile, others are not lying. They are saying they wanted to kill us, and they mean it. Too bad we are so massively distracted by a war with an old enemy.

Have the "patience" to allow Saddam to continue his weapons program while the world- with some of the decisions makers having been BRIBED by Saddam - sat idly by, and the patience to take our chances with the repercusions? No thank you. We've already had one 9-11. Most here in America on both sides of the aisle saw the writing on the wall and didn't want a repeat, or something worse...

BTW, by that time we had already been "patient" for 12 years.

Well, look at Libya. Who is to say that 13 wouldn't have been the magic number for SH or that one more year of diplomatic efforts wouldn't have changed anything? We will never know, and it's just not that simple.

George Bush elected to make a unilateral decision that "time was up", and the fact that many don't agree is valid, IMO. The lack of patience is not always considered a good quality.

Yes look at Libya. If we had not invaded Iraq they would never have come clean.

Make sure to add "doesn't keep up with the times" to YOUR resume.

"Now in order to make sense out of Iraq, you have to make a list of the good things accomplished... Libya has folded and has given up its nuclear program...."

Ooooh, a Fox News quote, I should have known. About a half step away from the "Batboy" stories in the tabloids, but very impressive.

Let me guess, are you also a Bill O'Really fan?

Isn't it funny how some people can only attack the source, but not give any facts to dispute what was said by that source?
