Being unconscious of weather. My DH was raised in S.Ca., so now we live in NE he's addicted to the weather channel. Every commercial he has to check to see what's coming our way.

I agree with you and think that those in charge at the Pentagon should resign now.
<< I see no point in giving the current lot a second chance to lose even more lives and fund a war that seems to be "buy now, pay later". And Bush plans to keep troops in Iraq "as needed" for an indefininate period of time. Where's the exit strategy in that?>>
As far as the President and vise-president, they may be replaced in November, but that is too late for the changes needed in our policies in Iraq. The changes have to be made by this administration and they have to be made sooner rather than later. You know, I don’t care if the changes come about because of a sudden acceleration in their slow learning process, or because they’ve really looked at their poll numbers, but the failed policies that brought us to where we are now in Iraq must be replaced. Obviously a viable exit strategy has to be worked out, but those of us who didn’t think it would be easy to get out of Iraq, once we destabilized it by war, still think we won’t be able to leave easily – unless the new interim government has the real power to ask us to go and does.
OT – when the media is characterized as liberal for criticizing US policy I think how utterly impossible it would have been for my parents, who absolutely would have criticized failed policies, fiscal irresponsibility, etc., to have been called liberals –LOL.
