"...and this country is really in the mood for somebody to tell ’em what they should think, what to do.”

That's exactly what democrats want--to tell the American people what we should think and what we should do. Unbelievable, he just gave away their secret! I'm glad I can think for myself, thank you.

And how about the celebrity turnout for the premiere? Not a real shocker to see Martin Sheen, Demi Moore, Drew Barrymoore, et al excited to be there. And how about Camryn Manheim who was also there, quoted, "A lot of us look to Michael Moore to uncover the real truth." ROFL.

*sigh* These people...

And that's why I don't look to 'celebrities' (or anyone else, including politicians or priests)

Hate to appear to be not 'with it' but who is Camryn Manheim? I've never heard of her.

Well if you saw the hatchetjob that he won "Best Documentary" for, then you would know why some are puzzled why others seem to think that Moore is the be all and end all of the truth.

It's amazing that you all have such formed opinions about a film that hasn't even been released in this country yet, and that none of you have had the opportunity to see(unless you were at the Cannes Film Festival). Why not try SEEING it first, and then write into this message board?!

I couldn't agree more. I think this movie is an absolute joke. I am so sick and tired of all the Democratic Hollywood B.S. I wish that every single American actor that threatend to leave this great country when George W. Bush is re-elected would keep to their word and get out (Gwenyth Paltro!!!) Who needs those kind of people in America. They just take all of our US money and then bash America. We need to wake up as a nation and not tolerate this behavior. They all need to get on a boat and sail away with Michael Moore as their captain.

Hi Crisburkhart! Welcome to the "In the News" board.

"I think this movie is an absolute joke."

Have you seen it?

"I am so sick and tired of all the Democratic Hollywood B.S."

They're not allowed an opinion?

"They just take all of our US money and then bash America."

Why is expressing an opinion by American actors wrong? All what money? I thought they earned money by acting in movies that are exported around the world.

"We need to wake up as a nation and not tolerate this behavior. They all need to get on a boat and sail away with Michael Moore as their captain."

What should happen to people that disagree with Bush? Deportation? That's 'logical'.

It's called Freedom of Speech (the 1st Amendment).

....These people?!?! I'm not terribly happy about the fundamentalists that have decided use the citizens of this country to pursue their personal, greedy agendas either... *sigh*

I most certainly respect the opinions of others but I'm just sick of having mine stomped on all over the place. In fact, I'm usually quite passive on this topic but I can't take it anymore. I really enjoy Michael Moore's work mostly because it is a refreshing change to get the-in-your-face truth in the media - something that we as a nation are deprived of. The "liberal media bias" doesn't exist - it's more like corporate media bias. This is a real serious concern no matter what side of the fence you're on politically. They don't care about you - they care about your money and as a result the citizens of this country are losing hard core. Shocker! Greed does not = fairness and honesty. You won't be ROFL when this starts affecting you personally, if it hasn't already and you just aren't aware of it...

Here are a few wonderful non-partisan links that can help people weed through the b.s that's being chucked down our throats on a daily basis...

Save the date! Fahrenheit 9/11 opens Friday, June 25th.

Are you talking about liberals or actors/actresses? Because when liberals take your money you get it back in the form of social programs that help improve every aspect of American life -which is a beautiful thing.
