"...and this country is really in the mood for somebody to tell ’em what they should think, what to do.”

That's exactly what democrats want--to tell the American people what we should think and what we should do. Unbelievable, he just gave away their secret! I'm glad I can think for myself, thank you.

And how about the celebrity turnout for the premiere? Not a real shocker to see Martin Sheen, Demi Moore, Drew Barrymoore, et al excited to be there. And how about Camryn Manheim who was also there, quoted, "A lot of us look to Michael Moore to uncover the real truth." ROFL.

*sigh* These people...

I find it refreshing that someone is finally telling the truth about

America. This country is based on lying, cheating, stealing etc..........

Begging your pardon, but if you're speaking of Moore's past work such as BfC, then whatever you're getting, it's most assuredly not the "in-your-face truth". It's Moore's perceptions of the facts, presented in the guise of "documentary" and overtly influenced by his personal political philosophies and contempt for the objective facts of the matters he addresses. In that he's no better than the media outlets you were disparaging... it's the same garbage, just in a different brand bag.

I understand your strong feelings. I am often mystified by those who don't love and believe in a country that allows them to put that same country down.

However, these posts won't sway an undecided toward a vote for Bush. Remember you aren't trying to get the person your arguing with to make up their mind, they likely already have. It is the person skimming through the posts looking for a reasonable and rational post that you have a chance of swaying.

We know Moore's previous works, and have little cause to believe his tactics in this creation will be any different. It's (by his own admission) a political work created with a political goal (getting rid of Bush), and quite likely exemplifies Moore's conspicuous lack of respect for the facts of the issues addressed in his works which we've seen in those previous works.

"Truth" is largely a matter of perception. Facts are another matter entirely, and that's where Moore falls flat on his @ss, as he has met few facts he can't twist out of context or misrepresent to some degree. Those he can't do either to he either ignores outright or fabricates new ones from scratch, depending on how vital they are to his story.

Bear in mind this is in regards to his previous works, and with those as an example of his ethics it's difficult to imagine that F-9/11 will be any different.

>"IT IS STILL A FREE COUNTRY"<

Doesn't appear that you think it is. If people doesn't share your opinion you're telling them to leave.

No need to shout on this board.

cl-libarone,

I believe crisburkhart is just sharing her opinion as well. You can't have it both ways.
