Catholic Priest Sex Abuse

Low and behold, it was discovered that the Priests that were doing all this abuse with the kids were, get this, homosexual. Da! Is it any wonder some one who is sexually disoriented won’t have any moral boundaries what so ever? So to call yourself a priest and be an active homosexual is absurd. It just goes to show that sick people can slip into any profession.

The thing that stands out is the chaos within the church, the ability to tranfer seemingly at will without anyone having a clue... there is no question in my mind that these things should be handled by authorities and not the church. Outrageous. Two of these beasts served in the parish I was a part of while there.

>>What is truly sad the righteous priests are tainted by these cover-ups.<<

Agreed... and can you imagine being a gay priest, having everyone viewing you with suspicion? Awful.

When growing up I was a pretty ignorant child... oblivious to all the nasty stuff out there. As an adult, over half of my friends have been raped or abused... I had no clue it was this bad. And to find out two priests were abusive whilst I was there... geesh.

When I was about 13 I knew a girl whose 'father' was molesting her. She was such a sad little girl. I too never realized 'til later what this actually meant.

I was pretty sheltered, normal family for the time. All girls school. Never heard the "F" word until I was 15.

It's pretty shocking. The scary part is that we are all susceptible at that age. Fortunately we had good parents, but they can only do so much. Those that weren't so fortunate... I know someone who was molested by her grandfather... this guy was a minister. It infuriates me.

A couple of years ago we had a couple of discussions ongoing simultaneously on the feminist board... one on what "no" means, one on when does sex become rape, and the answers some guys were posting led me to leave the board for 18 months, it totally shook me up. We cannot be this ignorant as a society.

Thanks for posting the new stories. It never ceases to amaze me to what levels the church has or will go to protect these criminals from prosecution.

Guess the message is: do nothing and let it spread to everyone. The church as ostrich.
