It's hard to tell. While the order may cone at the state level, many states, like mine, maintain voters list at the county level. There may not be one list. There may be a list for each county. The order would go out at the state level to the various county officials to "delist" people and the local official would make the list.

And it may not be public. Voters list are public. Those who can't vote may not be. They are simply not listed. Elegible voters may not find out they can't vote until they try, when it is too late to reregister.

Not a Floridian. Don't know the nuts and bolts of that system.

If public officials ban voters, there is a public record. It is impossible for there not to be, unless they have totally abused their authority... in which case, this should be a criminal investigation.

If that is true, there should be total outrage in this country. Considering the last few years with the Bush people, however, I have the sad feeling it is all probably true. If they all used their intelligence for the good of all, it would be a wonderful world, but they chose to use their brains for control and greed.

If this is true, and the allegation proven so, then Harris, and all involved should go to jail.

Now, since this is almost 4 years after the election, and 6 since DBT did the "job" they were asked to do, and no evidence has come out of this, I wonder if either this is just another conspiracy theory, or is there more to it, and it goes even deeper than just DBT and the GOP? Why have the Democrats not made a lot of noise about this as well?

Politics just stinks all around lately, and it does not seem to be getting any better.

If you look at the face of politics since 1990, it was scandal after scandal, and who in Washington was cheating on their wives....etc.

We can take that back further... I was in college when our political system was in total turmoil, and half of college students wanted to major in journalism...

I minored in journalism and worked at a fairly prominent New England daily newspaper, and left because of the way the Editorial staff was basically telling the reporters how to present the news.

It made me very angry to see how the news was being presented for people, who relied on the newspapers and the television for their facts. Here we were, the stewards of information, and we were presenting the information in a slanted format. I asked myself how I could make a well informed decision based on skewed information. After five years, I got out.

I got into the profession for the ability to try and put out the truth, without editorializing at all, or trying to slant the story one way or the other. What actually happened in the newsroom was unnerving to say the least.

I worked for a summer as the maintenance person for a local tv station. The year before an election for US Senator had ended in a tie, and a special election was now being held. One day I go in the restroom downstairs, and while in there, into the lobby came the governor, the station general manager, the Republican candidate, and a few others. I didn't dare go out that door... I knew their voices, knew who was there. I was then treated to how they planned to have him say something, which would then produce a response, leaving just enough time before the election for one final statement by the Republican candidate.

It stunned me they were playing this game with the reporting of news. For the record, he was trounced. ;-)
